Default Wheel fitment question

I have a rigid frame that fits 1986-2003 HD sportster engines. It uses a 3/4" axle and 16x3 wheels fit. (Paughco 120e)

What I'm wondering is - since it will be built from the frame up - could my wheel choice potentially affect my engine fitment options?

My goal is a bobber, and I like the 16x3 130 for both front and rear. I need to get some spoked wheels - but I see wheels advertised that only for certain years of bikes.

Basically, I want to know which wheels I can get that won't screw my engine options when it comes time to get the 883 or 1200.

I hope this makes sense - my HD ignorance is making it difficult to even ask the question in a specific manner.

Simply put: have rigid frame, next step is wheels, what fits, what's the best option, why?

Thanks for any input

Ya awesome man thanks. Looks like the stock 84-99 3/4" axle 16x3s are good for me.

Since I'll be buying whatever caliper and forks I want I guess I can make almost anything work.

It looks like I should stay in that 84-99 range since that's what I bought for a rear wheel.

I'm just worried I'll
Preclude certain drive options Etc with the wrong wheel. But it also looks like almost anything can convert - as long as I stick w the 3/4 axles paughco says the frame is designed for.

What you describe are the earlier 3/4" taper roller bearing wheels, which will be fine. You will need brake rotors and rear pulley/sprocket that fit, they have a slightly smaller central locating hole than later ball-race wheels.
