2011 wideglide tire recommendations
Hey everyone,
I'm in need of some new tires. Factory spoke wheels. I was reading around and saw people saying about the 200/55 being to big which I agree with. I work in the tire industry for passenger tires and I feel the same way about stretching those also.
So I'm just trying to find out what tire size setups everyone are running and what brand tires you have. I might be selling it so I don't want nothing that's going to make my wallet cry, but I also don't want a shinko..
also when I check descriptions of the tires they all say tubeless.. I know with my bike having spoked wheels I have to use a inner tube. Can you use a inner tube with tubeless tires?

Pirelli Night Dragons Stock sized 180/60-17 rear and 90/90-21 front. No issues at all running them tubed, a superior tire for your Wide Glide. Use Ride On in the tubes for dynamic balancing and puncture protection.

Thank you very much! I thought the stock size for the front was a 80/90-21? Do you run a 90/90? how is it compared to the 80/90?

I've been running the 90/90-21 up front; it fits on the wheel with no issue and the tire more fully fills in the fender. The 90/90 removes that sort of vague, wandering feeling of the front; the slightly wider tire combined with the more rounded profile of the tire and the composition of the tire give the front a more sure, planted feeling in corners and the wandering sensation of following road irregularities is removed.
You may find you need to break the front fender bolts loose and slightly readjust the fender for a smooth fit to the tire; there's a bit of slop in those fender mounting holes in the fender; FYI; unlike the rest of the front forks, those fender bolts are not metric, they're 1/4"

I really do like the Night Dragons; many in the Dyna forum are running them and all seem to agree it is a fantastic tire. Avon does make the Cobra that a few are running on their Wide Glides but with these Dragons being so confidence inspiring when I'm pushing it in the curves I've found the right tire for my Wide Glide

sounds like I can be even more dumb then! I already scrape with a cupped front tire 😂. Can't wait to see what it feel likes with new rubber under it! Im gonna go with eBay. Unless he can beat 116 free shipping for the front and 190 free shipping for the rear
