Biggest front tire on stock 06 FXDWG wheel
It may seem a little stupid but I am having a difficult time getting info on the biggest Metzeler ME 880 Marathon tire that will mount on my stock wheel. I asked my local Dealer, but you all can guess what they told me. I already knew what is recommended!
I have a 2006 Dyna Wide Glide. It came with a MH90-21 Dunlop. I'm not sure what my rim size is. I feel every bump in the road with such a small tire. It also does not handle the freeway rain grooves very well. I have plenty of room. My fender must be at least an 1 1/2 above the tire.
I have a Marathon 880 on the rear. Metzeler only makes a couple of 21" an ME 880 Marathons. They have MH90 - 21 M/C 54HTL, 90/90 - 21 M/C 54H. It seems the next biggest tire is a 120/70 - 21 M/C 62V.
Has anyone ever used a 120/70 21 on a stock Wide Glide rim? Would it work? I would hate to have the tire roll off the rim in a hard turn! That would kinda suck!!
Any advise would be appreciated.

Your rim is 2.15" wide and the 90/90 is the biggest tire you should put on it. I've heard of a couple guys that put a 120 on the stock rim, but I wouldn't try it myself. Metzeler says 3" minimum for the 120. I had a 90/90 Metzeler on my '03 Wide Glide and it was way better than the stock Dunlop, it didn't follow the grooves hardly at all.
