Default Help finding wheel source

Anyone know of a place where I can get my hands on an aluminum wheel like this one that doesn't run $1100/ea? Not looking for laced, no need for gold nipples, but would definitely like to find some 40 spoke black/red pin-stripe with black hubs...would rather not pay carbon BST prices. Haha

You contradict yourself - wire wheels like those are laced! If you currently have wire wheels you don't have to buy new, simply have them painted to look like that. If you want to be precise you could have your wheels dismantled, rim and hub painted, then rebuilt with new bright spokes. The 'gold' nipples are probably cadmium plated = cheap!

I'm rolling on Fat Daddy 50 spokes right now...tired of the weight, and the nipples are starting to show their mileage. I'm thinking about 40/60 spoke wires. The pictured wheels are from hdwheels.com...think the gold might be real. They'd better be, at those prices!

Those wheels do look good! They are 4-cross laced, which should make them very strong, also they are complete wheels, with bearings. Good custom stuff doesn't come cheap!
