I'll try and ask in this forum since I couldn't really get any bites in the touring section.

Been looking at wheels lately for next upgrade and really like some of the PM's My 2012 limited has a 16" on rear and 17" on front but PM doesn't offer a 17" in the styles I'm leaning toward. So if I go to an 18" or bigger will it still fit under the front fender or are the tires just lower profile to accomodate the larger wheel ? Plus They comwe with tires already mounted up my choice of dunlops, avons, or metz. Which tire is the better choice ?

 

Other Touring models use an 18" front wheel, so just take a look at the specs on Harley's website. Size changes between models, depending on style! Tyre section does indeed reduce with increasing rim size, so 16" wheels are 130/90, 17" are 130/80 and 18" 130/70. Those three sizes are similar in diameter, but larger rims than these will get larger in overall diameter. PM should be able to confirm suitable wheels to fit your bike.
