Default 19.50" wheel, how wide a tire can I go

Just bought this new laced 19.50" front wheel to put on my softail to take the place of the skinny21". looking for more meat. Before I buy a tire Id like to know just how wide I can go. Metzler makes a 19/80x110 & a 19/80x120. sure would be nice to run that 120, Thanx

your sizing seems off, anyhow check the avon site a 3.5" wide rim is recommended for a 120-70- xx radial, ran a 120-70-18 mich radial on my sporty with custom wire wheel + vulcan mid-glide, looked good + handled well

All your numbers are mixed up! I take it you mean a 19" rim? How wide is it, between the inner sides of the rim? There are two types of tyre of that diameter, the traditional ones are around 2" that take a 90/90 x 19 or 100/90 x 19 and wider rims nearer 3" that will take the 110/80 x 19 and 120/80 x 19. Tyre width depends on rim width and we need to know what you have before we can help any further.
