Default Handlebar change requires Digital Tech?

I want to change the handlebars on my 2011 Road King Classic with ABS but I just saw a Harley Vid that says you must connect your bike to a Digital Tech ($10,000.00 HD only Laptop Computer) in order for the ABS to work correctly once you mess with the brakes. Is this true? I have seen numerous vids online of RK bars being changed and no mention on Digital Tech before.

According to my service manual you need the digital tech to properly bleed the abs brakes. I'm assuming with taller handle bars you need longer brake lines which would require a brake bleed after installation

Default Thank you

Yes, I am changing the brake lines. I'll have to do some looking around to see if there is some other way around it. Thanks...
