Rim size question
Well here is the problem I am running into I want to put DNA Mammoth 52 spoke rims on my bike I have a 2009 fatbob and the stock size is 16x3 front and a 16x5 back tire I see that the smallest size they make is a 16x3.5 front and a 16x5.5 rear and I'm not sure if that .5 wide will work and cannot find any information on if it will I think it should work because you're only adding .250 to each side It seems like I could do a straight over swap with out modifying anything but not sure. any information would be much appreciated or at least point me in the right direction how to figure out if it will work or not

the hub size will not be affected, they will fit. the rim width will be be only slightly wider. it wont be an issue, its when you get into diameter changes that you have to think about rubbing, unless your changing the width of the tire !!! if the stock tire is a 150 for the rear, then your should put a 150 tire on it, the dealership will tell you that if you put a wider tire on the front of the back that once the tire gets hot and expands it can rub on the things they mount to the inside of the rear fender ( connectors, wires , etc). for the front if you put a 1/4 nut taped to the center of the wheel ( if you are changing diameters) and slowly spin the wheel , if it passes under the fender cleanly without rubbing, you should be fine , but a 1/2 inch of width on the rim , shouldn't matter
