for the cover adhesive, the directions called for Harley-Davidson® High-Performance Sealant - Gray - (read: RTV) - 99650-02. i subbed permatex Ultimate gasket maker because..... it was in my chemical stash, and even though the HD RTV is rated to 482 degrees and the permatex is on rated to 400.... if 400 ever happened on the cooler, i'd have other exploding engine issue that would take precedence over a loose oil cooler cover.
