Default Who has done the TORQUE SMOOTHING CALIBRATION "enhancement"

What are the results. I got the recall notice and am (as are others) wondering what effect it has.

Thanks.

Yep, they're blowin smoke. I got a letter from HD advising me to make an appointment for the 'enhancement'. Spoke to the dealer and they said I could make an appointment at any time.

*** Use DT software version 20.xx or greater. Version 20.xx, targeted for release mid to late December 2006, will provide
“no charge” P&A performance calibration upgrades for qualifying vehicles.
(The “xx” in the version number means that
these digits have not yet been assigned.) Upgrades performed prior to the 20.xx release will be charged to your dealership.

Once the dealerships recieve their software, then and only then can the "Update" be installed.....

Well, maybe the person I spoke to didn't know what she was talking about.

Just got my 2 Digital Techs updated today.......

Now our shop can complete the process......

And there is some really nice features that have been released, that come over from the Buell side of the house, like the ability to Reset the AFV (Adaptive Fuel Values).....

Should be real interesting to see what is gonna happen with the PC USB Bikes that the o2 sensors have been "Eliminated"......

No more "Learning" for these bikes.....

I have had the calibration "download" on my 07 SE Ultra at 1000 mi and the main difference I see is the bike starts much smoother. Used to be a clank upon starting and now gone. The bike is also much smoother all around. It is available for 07 SE. If dealer says no they are misinformed.

You can have the updated ECM Cal done.......

Whether it will do anything to your current PC config is unknown......

Default RE: Who has done the TORQUE SMOOTHING CALIBRATION "enhancement"

Ihave an 07 se ultra. I had the software update done while they performed the 1k service .I had an exhaust back fire about 9 -10 times in the 1k miles and about 6 -7 times while stoped at idle the bike would die ,it always restarted right up fine and gave no warnning when it died .these two problem lead me to think i should have the update done at the 1k mile checkup/oil change.other than that the bike ran great .
After the download the first time out i noticed a sunifacant differance in power . when i rolled on the throudle to get the responce i was use too i had to twist further down . the biggest differance came at 5th gear the bike has no power now to pass like it had before . Before the update 5th had all the power one would want to pass.
I called the dealer to have the old setting put back-in. imo the original setting had the timming at max advanced settings , witch can cause an engine to run hot at times or ping , and harder to run at lower rpmsand taking off. so the mocoretarded the timming to the minumum prevent the complaints. but in doing so gutted the power curve .with the update the bike will run fine if you put around town and dont need to pass anyone ie. drive it like a grandpa bike . but I do not recomend it if you bought 35k + 110ci screaming eagle thinking it should run like one.
