Grandfather,
U.S.M.C
1941-1945
Grandpa hit most of the islands in the South Pacific, and was on his way to Okinawa when we dropped the bombs to end it.
I served in Iraq from March of 2003 to April of 2004. Proud of what I did, but to me the real men are those of my Grandfathers generation.
Grandpa left us in the spring of 2007.
