Military Service Past and Present

I'm just curious, but I believe that a good number of us here on the forum are presently serving or are veterans. I would like for all service members to post their branch and dates of service. Others can post thoughts or comments but veterans please post Branch of service, and dates of that service if you don't mind giving hints to your age! You could also list the branch of service for your children.

Me-US Navy 1973-77
Son-USMC 2003-present

My dad was in in the Army during WW2 running around Europe and Africa with Gen. Patton. Our 2nd son is serving in Afghanistan with the Army Air National Guard as a crew chief with a helicopter crew.

National Service, thats something we should bring back here in the states. Military service or Peace Corps or something of at least two years duration.
