My dad was in in the Army during WW2 running around Europe and Africa with Gen. Patton. Our 2nd son is serving in Afghanistan with the Army Air National Guard as a crew chief with a helicopter crew.

National Service, thats something we should bring back here in the states. Military service or Peace Corps or something of at least two years duration.

Me- USAF 1996-present, first tour in Iraq (Al Asad, Balad and Baghdad) was for 9 month's and I am currently on my second tour for OIF and have been here for 6 months.
All yeah, I am 31 years of age!!

Yes, I have. In fact, that's where the Clamagore was home ported for many years. We had a reunion about 4 years ago in Charleston and approximately 50 of the guys I served with (from a crew of 75) showed up. It was amazing how old all those guys looked after 40 something years and how much smaller the boat had gotten. My riding buddy and I are planning a trip to Charleston in October. I will give him a guided tour of the sub, as well as the carrier and tin can Laffey that are also moored at Patriot's Point.
