Please take a minute to read this letter, it is very important.
This past summer the PGR participated with the Wounded Warriors and Fallen Hero's to benefit the soldier in the enclosed photo. Jeremy Cottle was deployed to Iraq on a mission so secret his family was not allowed to know the nature, location, duties or the exact incident of injury. If you do not remember, a metal storage building was converted into living quarters on his grand fathers land. Today it is still not complete.
Saturday 12/9/06 I had the opportunity to visit Jeremy and his family in Moran Texas. The military has discharged him, discontinued his medical treatments and support. The VA has dismissed him from treatment and told him to deal with it.
Jeremy is total disabled has three children and a wife and they are financially devastated and they need some help. They have a 6-year old son and a 9-year-old autistic son and a new 2-month-old baby and Christmas does not look very merry.
The PGR has stood Tall, Proud and Silent for many American heroes' who were not fortunate to come home alive. We now have a living Hero that needs our help and the PGR needs to intervene and re-assure this hero, Americans do care.
I am starting a fundraiser with a $100.00 donation for this family and I am asking for donations of mostly money for Jeremy and Lora. I would like to see a lot of toys for the kids. I do not want them to be deprived this Christmas after all they have been through. The tragedy this family has endured entitles them to a special Christmas.
I want the PGR and their friends to step up and make this a special Holiday Season. A PGR Special Mission, rain or shine, will take place on Dec. 23, 2006 to personally deliver the goodies. I know it is very close to Christmas and we will be taken away from our families but this is what Christmas is about. This will take about 5 hours of your time, but it will give you a lifetime of happy memories of a real Christmas and I recommend you bring the family.
The 6-year old wears size 7 and the 9 year old is a 10/12. They are able to get to Wal-Mart if you want to do a gift card.
Make your donations payable to Bill Watkins and mail them to Bill Watkins, 4209 FM 813, Waxahachie, Texas 75165. If you need, I will come pick them up. Don't let me down and lets make this happen. ER (Wingman) Stroud has put his approval on this and I hope you will forward it to any one you know.
