If it takes Hester to get da Bears some points, so be it. Maybe this will give Grossman back some confidence.
i think Grossmans confidence started getting better when every time He came off the field Griese was standing their telling him " I'm gonna take your JOB!!!, I'm gonna take your JOB!!! , I'm gonna take your JOB!!! " LOL
Any time a Bear defense gives up 27 points and they need 2 kick return touchdowns to win a game, it isn't a good thing.
Tommie Harris is out for the season and that's going to hurt a lot.
Hate to say it,I'm a long time fan and former season ticket holder...but I'm not looking for them to go deep into the playoffs.(Really hope I'm wrong)
If my memory serves me well I think the Bears had 2 first round draft picks in 2003 the year the took Grossman. They originally had the 3rd pick and traded down. They took a defensive lineman from Penn State with the 14th pick(Maichael Haynes...who never did much and is now gone) they got Grossman later on as the 22nd pick in the 1st round.
A huge positive is that they've had the good sense to mostly play Thomas Jones over Cedric Benson at running back.

Last time I checked the score we won by 15 points. Take two kick off return run points (14) off the board and we still win the game. Not to mention our kicker muffed to fairly easy field goals for 6 points.
Harris is out for the season you are correct. It will hurt, along with Vasher and Brown being out. BUT Harris' numbers are the WORST we have on our team almost. he does the least out of all our key players. but the team as a whole really plays well with him...
We had Jones as well as Benson which are good for our running game and the last time I checked we threw the ball almost as many times as they touched the ball 23/27.
Don't get too confident yet. Your QB is way too inconsistent with his play and in the playoffs that is a killer. The Colts can't win without Peyton playing well in the playoffs. Granted your D is much better than Indy's D. I would like to see what the Saints could do against your D. They put a shellacking on the very good Dallas D. The Saints D is pretty good and there is not comparison between the 2 offenses, the Saints have the number one offense in the League.

No one's confident, but the Bears 'D' is far superior to the Saint's, and waaaaaay above the Dallas D. Indy will have a hard time getting past SD (everyone will at this point). Dallas' D is not that great. Their DBs can get beat easily, and have been spanked many times. And besides the last few games, the Saints were an average team playing an average game, losing about 50% of the time.
If Grossman played like he did the first few games and the D stays consistent, there are no NFC teams that match them this year. Cannot say if they could hang w/SD on their best day, tho (still hopeful they could in the 'Bowl).
