RE: Any one running the screamin eagle evo heads???
If you don't already own them,do yourself a favour, and don't own them, you can do much better having your own heads ported and flowed PROPERLY.But then again depends who does the work, they could also be done badly.
RE: Any one running the screamin eagle evo heads???
Hello,
Got my bike in the shop, installing the screaming eagle heads, and matched pistons for 10.5 to 1 compresson. An andrews ev 27 cam.
I will let you guys know what I think when I get it back. I also have a mikuni 42, but may be using the stocker, just depends on what my mechanic thinks.
I was thinking of getting my stock heads done, but didnt know anyone reputable, and the cost for that work would have far outweighed how much I payed for the SE heads.
I think the SE heads look very well done, the intake and exhaust ports are drastically different than stock, more of a D-shape, and the valves are much bigger than stock with a different combustion chamber as well as stronger valve springs.

Well went and got the bike today, and boy what a night in day difference. The sound is awesome, the idle and throttle response is great, and the performance is night and day. Anyone wanting a good top end, I will tell you what Ive done for my setup, definatley a winner. Really thumps, really runs.
