Default S&S "SHORTY" CARB TUNING....

My 81' FLH has a S&S Shorty carburetor on it that always running a little too rich, any tips on tuning this thing? Thanks!

I just re-built my super E for the same reason.I spent about seventy bucks on O-rings I could have bought at the hardware store for two bucks. Anyway the reason mine was running rich was because the last goofball that supposedly re-built it lost the o-ring that goes on top of the injector nozzel where it inserts into the venturi. So the vacume was constantly sucking gas no matter what jets he used.I downloaded a tuning manual from s&s that goes into how to tune their carbs.Go to sstech@sscycle.com find instruction sheet 51-1012 . Good Luck
