Default DOING a 180 or 200 in the rear of a new fatboy...anybody?>

OK here is the situation i am helping a very good friend of mine buy a used fatboy. he has found the bike he loves and the bike is a beauty.
everything is chrome, under 1800 original miles and it is a 2004 in great shape. the only thing it lacks and he definately has to have it is the wide rear tire and short cropped fender. my question is has anyone done a wide tire kit on the back of a fat boy> if yes what size should he do the 180 or the 200? and also what is roughly the cost to change from stock to the 180 or the 200? does the stock swingarm stay and they modify or is everything changed. please anyones helps is appreciated as we need to make a decision to buy this bike before it gets sold pending the wide kit is super $$$$$$.

thanks

here is a pic of what he wants to do to the rearend..hope this pic helps
it is also important as we found a few on EBAY and other classified sites but he wants a local sale which makes it that much harder.

Have your buddy call Hogpro. They have a fender and everything to go with a 180 or the new narrow belt and pully to go with a 200.

The narrow belts will not stand up to much abuse at all. They are a show item only, a decent 95 kit will snap the belt, Chains have come a long ways they need very little maintance are the only way to fly for built engines. I have tried the narrow belt several times only to have the bikes come bakc with broken belts.

The belt we use is the OEM part on all 200 tire equipped '06 softails including the 103" S/E Fat Boy. Its made primaraly with carbon fibre and will stand up to ANY displacement street motor. There is not one documented case of this belt breaking.

I have to agree with Hogpro on this. I use the new 06' 7/8" wide belt that comes standard on the new FXST and FXSTB bikes. I got a pretty agressive built motor and it takes the abuse well. It also allowed me to run an 18x5.5 rim with a 180(could have fit a 200 if I wanted to)rim without having to offset the tire or transmission sprocket on my 03' Night Train. The new upper and lower gelt guards on the 06' models bolted right up to the softail swingarm as well with no mods.

MegaHDman,
Assuming that you changed your fender; what did you use? Any chance of some pictures and a step by step how to do this for my FXST-I 2004?
Thanks, John
