Default Zippers Thundermax Digital Speedo

I'm thinking of buying a digital speedo for my 06 night train. As i got a Thundermax ECM i would like to buy the Zippers Thundermax digital speedo
http://www.thunder-heart.com/Electronic/asm1609.html
instead of a Dakota Digital HLY 2004

http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=399/category_id=235/home_id=60/mode=prod/prd399.htm

Does any of you have any experience with either of the two??

Havent used the thundermax but have used lots of Dakota's and they aregreat units, I have seen the Thundermax, had it my hand, etc, and it seems to be a good unit, and Drag has some pretty agressive pricing on them right now.

I just put the Dakota Digital HLY on my 07 Fatboy. The teal display was more visible to me in bright daylight.

i just found out today from my local dealer here in Holland that the Thundermax speedo can only show the speed in Kph, but all the other information like head temperature, odometer etc is not metric but in Farhenheit and miles. Het called them today and the tech guy told him they are still working on the software to make it total metric.

So i will have to go for the Dakota Digital as i want all the info to be in metric. with the dakota digital unit i will also have a gear indicator which the Thundermax has not.

I have no experience with zippers but have the dakota digital on my 06 softail and very happy with the performance and looks. Simply plugs in the existing harness. Some of the digital tachs/speedo ive seen are hard to read in direct sunlight but the dakota isnt. It does have a ton of features but could be a little more user friendly to program and if you program the shift indicator it is hard to see at full throttle. all in all i am extremly pleased with the dakota. Sorry to ramble but hope ive helped
