Just my 47 I built outta spare parts.Rear rockerbox is one year only 39,put ULH flywheels in to punch it to 80ci.Early S&S L-Series carb,(GBL) and a suicide shift(if it ain't suicide it ain't fun to ride).Put a K model sportster front end on her,1919 JD floorboards and tool box.Used the old trick of putting a cooler off a pwrsteering unit as a oil cooler.Built her 25 years ago and she ain't failed me yet!!AH,They don't buildem like they used to.Can you imagine a 60 year old evo, lol.RIDE MORE,POLISH LESS!!!

Hi, alongrider I too have a 47 EL knuck motor 48 wishbone frame raked for 6
over and an aftermarket Girder front end [it was cheap] a early 4 speed in a
basket. this has been an 18 year project. Was wondering do you still have any
of those old spare parts just lyin round collectin dust, that ya might be willing
to part with??

I've always wanted a Knuckle Head. My oldest brother had a chopped 47 that was show condition back in the early 70s. I rode with him many times on it. He had the chrome springer way out there fenderless, candy purple paint, jockey shift, foot clutch, meggaphone up swept pipes etc. It was one beautiful bike with that polished knucklehead that would crank everyone's head over to check it out. I'd give plenty to have it today!

'47 was the last year for knucks, and some say the best. A good one will last forever, but the prices are getting kinda crazy. Oh well.

I've owned and been riding my 1947 Knuck for more than 15 years and love it. It's basically stock but ungraded to 12 volt for better lighting at night.

The EL engine and trans ran strong until about 85,000 miles then I rebuilt it as an FL thinking the extra displacement would be worth the effort. Wish I'd left is as a 61 inch which was about as fast as the 74 and ran a lot smoother.

How about showing us a picture of this nuck of yours?

There is a 50 pan chopper for sale locally that looks very nice for $13k. It really amaizes me the prices these old scoots are bringing these days.
I just sold a 65 Servi-car for over $15.5k. Wish I had 10 more! Not to many years ago you could get'm for little to nothing.

Yo Buzz, (or anyone else with a stock knuck frame)
Do you have time to pull a tape measure across from rear axle plate to axle plate (inside demension)? Thanks in advance.
