Yes you have to block the bike up to remove the forks ,and the front wheel,and fender.If you changed the oil ,and your not leaking any ,you are not going to accomplish much by taking them apart .about the only thing that can go wrong is something that causes the oil to leak out the seals..You don't need special tools .Just read the manual real well before starting so you have a very clear picture of what needs to be done.
I'm not sure what exactly you are asking ( you should read your post before sending )I use a car sissor jack to raise my bike then slide a cinder block with a piece of carpet on it ,under the bike ,and let the jack down. Lately Iv'e been using a chunk of railway tie as I live by the tracks and you can turn them on their side to gain a bit of height if I want. As for specialty shop ,it's the local Harley dealer you need to be talking to .
