So alot of people on alot of the forums I visit always talk **** to any newb rider trying to get himself on a 600. The common consensus is that if you don't start on a little 250ccninja, you won't live to see your first year. Not saying thats right, or wrong for that matter, but it got me wondering.... what did all of you start out on? take the poll guys..c'mon do it
1971 650 yamaha. We (the 1st wife) didn't even have a car. I took what money we had saved up and went walking looking for a car. I saw the 650 at a bike shop and before I knew what happened I had filled out a loan app and had my first bike. I had to have it delivered cause I didn't have a clue on how to ride it.
I started with a Yamaha vstar 650...after 20 years of not riding.
now 20 years ago it was a scooter (80cc)
