Anyone carry a gun on their Tank ?
this way I can get to it fairly easy and walk away , verses carry on my belt
unless one is on the market I'm thinking of having a Leatherier(shoemaker) do one for me but am open to Ideas/designs?

thank you so much for the introduction.
Tommy,
I carry mine in the high side saddlebag most of the time. If I go anywhere I feel might become a threatening situation I carry it on my person in one of several concealed carry holsters I have, or tucked into a waistband.
My opinion about carrying in the open is that if it's in sight you are inviting a lot of police attention even if you are legal. There's just something about the sight of a gun that sounds alarms in the minds of police officers. Especially when it is a greasy biker that has the gun. Not to mention the good citizens that will see it and call the police.
One of the great things about Concelaed Carry is that it gives you the element of surprise, and that is often the difference between winning and losing. If you carry in the open, you forego that edge.
This is just an opinion. I am sure that there are others that will see things differently.

Bill
One other thing. I see you are from Florida. I have a Florida CCW permit, and if I am not mistaken, it is not legal to carry in the open if you have a permit. I could be wrong about this. I know from reading the Packin.org web sight that is is illegal in some states to carry in the open if you have a permit. Something you might want to check on.

But what I mean and believe me!!! I know I don't put words together to good on the net (no journalist in me)
I carry concealed and have a few different ways to do so
but what I'm thinking is like a big Cigarette pouch type bag where you would not see it until it was removed or maybe remove the entire bag and it wouldn't be seen at all

I usually carry a Colt Defender in .45ACP. The wife has a Kahr in 9mm, and I like it so much I got the same piece in a .40 S&W.
I don't much believe in anything smaller that the 9mm/hot .38 special class for personal defense, and the bigger I can get and handle, the better. When I was on the Police Department I usually carried a .45ACP or a S&W Model 29 .44 Mag.

I haven't heard of anything like that on the market, but it sounds like a good idea. After you get it done, post some pictures, but only after you have looked into getting a firm claim to the design. It might be something that would make you a few bucks.

I'm not a shooter person, but in my opinion, guns are more trouble than they're worth. Knock on wood, (knock knock knock) I've never been in a situation where a gun would have made any difference. Maybe I'm conservative, maybe I'm just lucky. I don't have a gun at the house but I do have a tennis racket and a heck of a backhand. Problem is, the tennis racket won't fit in the nightstand.
