Default V Rod - Legit Harley or big Mistake...

Since the V rod never caught on in Cali...what do you think? Older harley riders will NEVER accept this bike....! Get over it or wait for respect ...?

Sure are a lot of California V-Rod riders at 1130cc.com.

TheH-D modelwith the longest wait times to buy is the hot Night Rod Special.

Areport I saw (Pre-Night Rod) had the VRSCA model alone as the 6th best selling Harley out of 28 or so models. Your comment is like saying the Dyna Wide Glide is a big mistake.

Overseas, the V-Rod is just what the dealers wanted and needed. Some years, it is the #1 selling H-D internationally. There's less enthusiasm over there for the legacy air-cooled big twin. To be sure, overseas is where H-D's future growth is. The market is saturated with air-cooled big twins here.

Don't believe there are many who give a crap whether an old rider accepts it or not. If anyone owns and rides for that reason they are riding for the wrong reason.

2/3's of V-Rod owners are new to the H-D family. This is a significant number. It means new $$$ from buyers who probably wouldn't have bought a H-D. Businesses eagerly seek new growth versus just trading $$$ with people already loyal.

Of course the VRSC is a legit Harley. Just another branch of the family tree, like most motorcycle manufacturers have. This branch is big and getting bigger every passing year. Many descendents will come forth over time.

You mean to tell me that in another thread you are calling V-Rod riders gay and in this one you are now saying that you want to ride one? Someone doesn't take the bait and doesn't argue with you and now you want to play cool?

Come on dude, troll somewhere else. We don't have time to play with kids.

I think it might be the future engine for HD. I sure wish my Electra Glide had this engine in it.

Why not buy a Buell or a big jap v twin with min. maint.
I think harley missed the mark or I would see more of them - lots of low mile used ones for sale here...
I like to ride all kinds of bikes - but that don't matter here - it's beers and checking out bikes on Sun- no one sees you ride...
Is there something wrong with a v rods seat - you guys always seem to have your panties in a bunch...
I GOTTA BE FAIR TO GAYS - NEVER SEEN ONE RIDE A V ROD (lots of girl or girl Sporty action here...) lighten up!

I know for a fact as a young first time Harley owner I probably wouldnt have bought a Harley until I was alot older had it not been for the Vrod. I do like the Fat Boy but a Vrod is where it is for the younger Harley owner. How can you call any Harley owner gay. The name alone screams true biker (one who loves to ride). Yeah you need to pack your bags and move to another forum with a question like that. Dont go out and ride one, just get left behind.

I'll take the time to answer your question/comments seriously. Tread lightly cause your comments are starting to get irritating and starting to look like you are just trolling. Trolls don't seem to last long around here.

Cause you'd have to ride on your nuts (crotch-rocket) to go any faster. Before you make your next comment, no one ever said that the VRSC was the fastest bike made, but it definitely holds contention for the top honors for a cruiser. Any other bike with the same contention needs a bigger engine to do that.

It is hard for any company to change their look, style and design of 99 years of being air-cooled. It is likewise just as hard for someone that has been devoted to the image of Harley-Davidson to do the same thing.

You'd be a little defensive as well if someone pushed their way into your territory and started making the comments that you have---
