Here's some pics that show some of the rejet operation and some of the workings of the CV carb...

And some recommended jet sizes... HERE

This pic shows the accelerator pump to the right and the main jet needle in the middle of the throat...

This is a cutaway showing the various jets in the carb. the spring and spring perch to give you a better understanding of the fuel circuits

This pic shows a removal of the concealment plug over the idle mixture screw...

The slow jet is screwed into the carburetor body in the bottom of a hollow well . This jet controls the fuel flow as much as 1/4-throttle.

The emulsion tube (A) is threaded into the bottom of the carburetor body. The main jet (B) is screwed into the end of the emulsion tube.

The drilling of the slide (optional) the diaphram assembly and the different main jet needles. Under certain conditions like cold temps and low RPM's this operation can cause a pop back from the carb from the slide opening too fast and leaning out the mixture.

This pic shows how the slide lifts the main jet needle with the vacuum/ atmospheric pressure on opposing sides of the diaphram...

This shows where the needle and spring is located and the diaphram seated in the top of the carb...

This shows the stock needle on the left compared to the adjustable needle in some kits, also shows the washer under the clip on the right needle...

This is the emulsion tube that holds the main jet in the bottom end as seen...
The other jet seen screwed into the body here is the low speed jet.

And how they all work together...
