Hey Weet what's the asking price? I'm considering one of these dressers. Are the old ones as good as the new ones? I bet they are an electrical nightmare. The frame appears to be the same.

The frames are very close. The electrics are only a problem if they have been hacked on or if the bike has been seriously neglected. The wiring on my 89 was in good shape. Had to convert it from police to civilian and that bike was in service from 89 to 05.

I'll take my old evo over the new twinkie any day. The old evo has a single gear driven cam, no cam chains or tensioners to wear out, a simple carb, no EFI to deal with, Evo's run dramatically cooler than Twinkies, no no need to tweak the EFI and slap on heat shields, the inner fairing brackets on the old glides are much stronger than the lame ass ones on the new twinkies that break all the time.

Just depends what you want, the latest and the greatest (96" and a 6 speed) or old and slow, but easy to build and realiable. PLUS They are a lot less cash.

Here's mine. It's a 95, I bought last year for $9,500. It had 43K miles on it and 400 miles on a complete, new, factory reman crateengine (installed at Alamo HD in San Antonio), along with a full front to back service. From a functional standpoint, it's stock. Obvisouly it has a bunch of chrome on it.

In any case, I've come to the conclusion that this is one fine motorcycle. It's unique. I love it. I would fully expect to get an easy 100K more out of it, given the way I ride and maintain it.

Occasionally, I like to "dress causually"...
