Default 2004 softail programmer?

a friend of mine just purchased a 2004 softail standard, the bike has santee pipes (no baffles) and stock ac. the bikes running very lean, he wants to replace the ac and add a programmer, any sugestions to what programmer would work well with these pipes? this is his first bike and i own a sporty, so we dont know too much about fi. thanks for any input.

For the bikes that don't have O2 sensors (pre 07), it seems like the PC3 is the most user friendly. Go to http://www.powercommander.comand check it out, check the maps while your there, I don't remember them having a map for the santee pipes but you should be able to find something close. The unit most of us have is now considered their RACE version, the EX is for California models.

I like the HARLEY SERT than have it DYNO-TUNED, the SERT goes back in it's box and it is there for your next engine mod. then you bring it to dealer for another down load or if you are a P.C WIZE KID you can install on the E.C.U. and do your own adjustment's, also it's not allway's on your bike and it can only be used on the first HARLEY it is loaded on, then they are married for life. GOOD LUCK. PURPLE HAZE.
