Default what a day EEEEEEEKKKKKKKK

While riding in a canyon at 73 degrees at 50-60 miles per hour at 2500-3200 RMP the motor starts cutting out. NOTE-- The tachometer first started acting up by the needle bouncing around but always downward. The engine at first would not be cutting out at the same interval. Then seconds later the motor would cut off in syn with the tach. At first I thought bad fuel but my riding buddy who gassed up exactly as me was having no problem. I finally pulled off the road as the motor sputtering was getting worse. After waiting a while I tried starting it and it stared fine and the idle seemed fine. I road for 10 miles at 60 MPH between 2400-3000 RPM and after 10 minutes it started cutting out again. I stopped for 10 minutes and started back down the road. Got on freeway and drove at 65 MPH at 2200 RPm in 6th gear in 62 degree weather. Road for 40 miles and it started cutting out again but right before it started cutting out I was going downhill at 70 MPH. I stopped for another 10 minutes then road for 5 minutes to the gas station and filled up. Tried to start the motor and I heard a click and the electrical system cut out. Could not start the bike as as soon as would hit the starter the electrical system would cut out. WHAT IS GOING ON. Is this a classic case of overheating. Hell the outside temp was no higher than 75 degrees and the speed was no higher than 65 MPH

Couldn't address if its overheating but, Just had my tac replaced and the tech mentioned to me that he had seen some quite running when the tac acted up. My tac looked like it needed about to4 shots of Ritalin.but the motor never acted up. This sstarted around bikeweek and I just got it replaced aboout a week ago. (Had to itorder or some crap).

I'm no tech, but I did experience a similar issue a few years (and several scoots) back. Final diagnosis of the problem was electrical; specifically a bad sensor - what type, I couldn't tell you. But when I brought the bike into the dealer, they plugged right into the ECU and immediately found the bad sensor issue, replaced it, and I was out the door in an hour good as new.
