Default GLARE Polish Review

I have been reading about this stuff for awhile and thought I would give it a try. I have swirl marks from washing and I tried Mothers but it wouldnt take them out. So I bought 2 bottles of Ppolish and 1 bottle of Spyder from Glare.

I followed the directions exactly aand am completely impressed. The Spyder took care of 80% of the swirl marks and then when I put the polish on it took care of 15% more. It didnt take out 100% of them but I really didnt expect it to. The bike looks awesome now. It shines better than it ever has.

The wife has a Sportster and she put the stuff on the parts of her engine that were not chromed. They now have a good shine to them. The parts used to be dull.

We also used the polish on all the chrome on both bikes. It is better than anything I have used before. It really brings out the shine in the chrome.

The only downfall to this stuff is it takes a lot of time and effort. This is not your normal drinkd a 6 pak and clean the bike job. For the Spider removal you put down 1 coat and rub it in completely. Then put on a 2nd coat and wipe it off and buff. Same thing for the polish. So you end up putting on a total of 4 coats.

They say its suppose to last 5 years. We will have to see if it true.

The other thing is its pricey. I paid $95 for everything. If it keeps the bike as shinney as it is now it was well worth the money for me.

I have also tried Glare for the first time this year. I did not use on chrome, but will try it now!!! Time consuming, but the shine is second to none!!! The question is, "How long will it last?".

Default RE: GLARE Polish Review

I have been using Glare products on my bikes for a few years now. Thisstarted a few years ago. My wife had a fork bag and within a year it rubbed a round spot about 3"- 4" dia. in the front fender. This round "white" spot was very visible on the front fender.

After speaking with a couple of the HD dealerships, a couple of local bike painters and a bike detailer they all told me that I would have to repaint and/or replace the fender. I thought I’d try the Glare polish before I spent the bucks to repaint or replace the fender. After all, what did I have to loose. As it turned out it was an excellent decision.

I spent less than 15 minutes applying the two step process. Yep, the first go round you rub it into the surface kinda like a rubbing compound unbtil it disappears. The second “coat” you apply it just like wax. I found it is very easy to apply and remove.

The rub spot completely disappeared! I later took the bike back to all the folks that told me I needed to repaint or replace the fender. Not a single one of them could even find a tiny scratch orany indication where the rub spot was. So, IMHO not only did Glare save me hundreds in repairs, I have an outstanding, deep, shiny, protective finish on my bikes. I now swear by the stuff and wouldn’t use anything else.

I just heard you could use it on chrome. I haven’t tried it yet. I’ll post back and let you know the results.

Has anyone used it on their chrome?
How about your pipes?
Also, has anyone ever used it on their windshield?

From what I was told the product actually softens and desolves the edges of the micro-fine edges of scratches (swirl marks, etc) and fills in the gaps with a chemical soup mix of "desolved clear coat, paint and itself" therefor re-constutiting a smoother surface which reduces the optical reflection of "sharp edges scratches and improves overall reflection of a smooth surface.

Whoa, what a mouthful of crap that was. Does it make sence? Well it's gotta work somehow!

Lastly.... Long term effects you might ask? Who knows and who can care. Without the product on you clearcoat what would the long term effect be? I think we all know that UV breaks down the shine in time and that's why we filter the UV with all kinds of polishes and products so why not use this product that seems to be working to the Highest Expectations of the Harley owner.. After all who but the Harley owners and Corvette owners demand excellence for their ride!

I just bought the polish and wash and was amazed at the shine. The first coat took a bit of time but the second went on quick and I cant believe the results. I paid $34 for the polish and just saw a special that Honda has for the EXACT same product but with Honda's name on it for $17. I bought a couple of extra bottles to have on the shelf.

Good Luck..........You won't be sorry!!!

I'd like to know where I can get it also. Vivid black gets swirls so easy, and I try everything I can to keep from getting them. Obviously, they are going to show up, but I try to reduce them as much as possible. It sounds like this stuff works really good. I'd like to try some.

There are three Glare products I'd recommend for the vivid black.
Micro finish, Spider and Glare Polish.

The Spider will help take care of the swirls. Then on goes the Glare Polish.

Should solve your'e problem. Works 4 me.

When I first heard about Glare, I was skeptical but after using it on my paint and chrome, I am a customer for life.

Sounds like a testimony they would use on their website, but it's true.

It is a little labor intensive but I haven't reapplied in almost 6 months and the shine is the same.
