I find that when wax gets into my crack, the easiest way to remove it if for the wife to get down on bended knees and yank!!!!!

first wait until it is raining, start the bike, put it in gear and then ride real fast down the road,,,  it's like a power washer and gets it all out of the cracks.

Don't put wax in the cracks to begin with - saves a lot of time.

Sand blast........... No really, I found a soft bristle brush that looked like a paint brush and it was made specifically for that. About the size of a cigar. Go to your local auto parts store, one of the big ones that doesn't have the parts you need but a good selection of other s*'t.   MeGuiars makes the brush for detailing, it comes with a small rubber tip on the end for scraping wax out da crack.  Or you can use a tooth brush that has the rubber tip at the end for scraping plaque. Your choice. Hope this helps.

Whilst you are there cleaning your bike, take the cherry out of your cocktail and use the stick.  Its sharp and wooded so won't damage anything, then get another cherry and stick it back in your drink for later.
