Default BEST GOALIE ?????

Some of you cats are on some SERIOUS NARCOTICS with your best goalie ever stuff i read on the other post.......fergetaboutit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Gimme a break with some of them names !

The most technically sound stand up goal tender EVER was flyers goalie bernard marcel parent ! Most called him BERNIE !.......He was an absolute lights out WITCH in the nets.....I got to see him many times live at the spectrum in philly back during the broad street bully days.....And i cannot tell you cats just how damn quick that dude was.......He was wicked agile....And his glove hand was out right evil.....REMEMBER that back then, the goalies glove and pads etc were shorter, not as wide etc as some of the stuff i see some of these newer cats wearing in goal...

Perhaps if you want to call some of these modern goal tenders the BEST BUTTERFLY STYLE goalies....Then i can go along with that........ FIRE AWAY !

Ken Dryden
Thats a respectful candidate......No question about that....His size certainly filled up the net, and he won ALOT...I will RESPECTFULLY say that kenny had a much better defense and a better team around him backduring most of his career.....Bernie had to at times really work his arse off in the nets at philly during most ofhis years there....Ken drydens brother was a pretty talented goalie also from what i recall....

I got to watch was the goalie from the great USSR team play in phillie back in the 1970s..vladmir tretiak......He was outstanding also.....Bernie beat him though, absolutely ROBBED kharlamov one time.....Had him shaking his head !

I'll give Parent his due, but have to say Roy and Brodeur are the tops and you cannot call Marty a butterfly goal tender!

Well, every one of the goalies mentioned above are certainly in a class of their own for sure!
But my all time favorite by far is Martin Brodeur!
He has proven time after time that he is the real deal, and is right on track to have the best stats ever. And to boot he lives about 45 minutes from me, met him a few times. He is a stand up guy to on the streets. He also owns some really nice bikes too!
My plates on my truck say it all " DEVS 30" !!!! Which by the way I have one signed by him, hanging in my family room, LOL.

BOTH are excellent goalies ! And i will say that marty is certainly the closest thing to an old school stand up goalie today.....Very position oriented goal tender...
