Default Is the Mobil 1 20w-50 V-Twin in a new container???

I was looking for my regular mobil 1 20w-50 V-Twin oil a few weeks and could not find it at first but finally did. Why I could not find it was because it was in a black container with a red cap instead of the light grey AND black container with a black cap. I Guess mobil changed containers did they? or is this old stock, or is it even the same Mobil 1 20w-50 V-twin? Any one else see this yet?

Camp,
Dark grey with a black cap from AutoZone when I did mine a couple thousand miles ago. Just picked up some Mobil1 15W/50, silver container with gold cap, to use instead. It's $2.20 less a quart and from what I've read on the forum works as well as M1 V-Twin and has more anti-wear additives in it. Only going to use it in the crankcase. Will continue to use Lucas 85W/140 HD gear oil in the tranny and probably going to try Castrol GTX 10W/40 in the primary when I do my 5000 mile service today.

so it appears some stores do have the mobil 1 20w-50 v-twin in those black containers with the red cap. glad to hear this because it must be the same stuff as the grey and black container with the black cap then. i will check this out more to see if indeed this is old stock or new stock. thanks everyone and if you all here more on this then post it up. this is the kind of info the forum should be all about...there are no silly questions and some times we just want to know if our products have changed on us. I also le it when a forum member lets the forum know about a rip off and or place not to deal with...this is a good thing for us all. Keep it up.
