Default HD Stock Chaps - Junk?

Well, I have a long trip planned for this week (leaving Wednesday). I tried on some HD Stock Chaps at the stealer and picked 'em up (had a 15% off coupon). They fit good. Problem is - I didn't snap the buttons.

Tonight as I try them on to cut them to length, I realize the dang things take no effort to snap and likewise, no effort to unsnap. I am sure a little bit of wind buffeting will make them come undone.

Is this what I should expect from these stock chaps?

Should I pay a little extra and get some Fox Creeks (or something else)?

Thanks in advance....

My brother had a pair. Not sure if he still has em though. I remember on one ride we had to keep pulling over so that he could re-snap all of the buttons. Junk....

I've had a pair for 5+ years with no problem
They stay snapped on the highway at 80+
Mine seem to snap tight though

I have the deluxe HD chaps and they are awesome. The waist has a heavy duty belt up front with the two pins that go into the perforations and it cinches nice and tight. The sides do up with zippers and they have 2 spots to zip up in case I get old and fat along the way, and the lower snaps up around the boot with 3 snaps and they never come undone. Great quality in the deluxe chaps!
