RE: Clearview Shield Showed up. Now I understand
New2,
I had initially intended to get the one with the 'recurve' but when I was ordering, on the phone with the guy, after listening to me he recommended that I not get it. I do not remember precisely, but it had something to do with the fact that I did not want the top edge to be anywhere near my line of vision, including my line of vision when looking slightly downward, and including the fact that I did not want any reflection -at least to the extent possible. It seems to me that he said the recurve might have some reflection -I am not perfectly sure. Anyway, I got the maxi height and width size for my 06 deluxe and I must say that I am overjoyed with it. First of all, now I can ride with my regular eyeglasses as opposed to goggles -which I hate. I have yellow glasses for night riding and dark green for daytime. To have them in goggles would cost a small fortune, plus at my age [51] it means that nearly every year I get new prescriptions. I have this shield now for some weeks. It is clearer than the HD even though it is thicker. On a sunny day you cannot see it. No exaggeration. If it is clean, you cannot see it. At night, you can see that you have a shield, but that is only because you will have slight reflection to inform of the fact. As for the wind, youwill still hear the wind, but you will not feel it.I do not even use a band on my eyeglasses.
