YEAH JB, THE SAME AS CRAZY'S, HE HAS GREAT VISION, IF HE WAS WORKIN FOR HD IM SURE HE COULD SHOW WILLIE A THING OR TWO ABOUT HOW TO DESIGN A BIKE. THE DEUCE HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVOURITE BUT THE ROCKER IS RUNNING A CLOSE 2ND, JUST NEED THAT SEAT FIXED. I KNOW THE BIKE WILL LOOK PRETTY MUCH LIKE CRAZYS BUT IF YOU COULD DO IT ANY WAY IT WOULD BE GREAT. NO SADDLE BAGS OR SISSY BAR, JUST THE SOLO SEAT, THANKS MATE.

Here's one look - still not sure what to do for you here...

I haven't seen a Rocker yet, but am I right in believing that the rear fender is attached to the rear swing arm and therefore moves with the swing arm? Is that why there's the funky passenger's seat - no way to attach to the fender because the fender moves up and down with the suspension travel? Is that why there's no fender brace?

If that's the case, then there would need to be some clearance between the back of the seat and the fender to allow for fender movement?

Heck, I might just pimp my deuce. With all of the reported problems with some of the 07's, I'm afraid to buy an 08 anyway. Why not just buy an aftermarket fender, trick fender brace, new seat and put some 3 degree rake cups on the 2002 TC88i deuce? It has fewer than 5,000 miles on it.

It has gobs of goodies on it and runs like a watch.

I think Crazy Canuck's Deuce is gorgeous. Tricked me for a minute into thinking it is a Rocker. My Deuce is worth maybe $11k? Another $3k would really trick it out - a far cry from the cost of a Rocker C after adding the aftermarket goodies I have on the Deuce already - stage 1 already included?

That's a hot looking Deuce JB!!! How could you part with it?? Only 5,000 miles..... you must have spent more of your spare time polishing it than riding it!!

You're correct about the Rocker. The seat and/or rear seat can NOT be attached to the rear fender as it is attached to the swing-arm like many custom-built street bikes and moves up and down quite a bit. If you see the video on the Harley site you can see some vertical movement of the seat (NO... not the chick's ass) as the bike moves away from the bar.

I guess they could design a longer seat with a "kick-up" to the rear end that is strong enough to support the pillion passenger but it would still need a fair bit of vertical clearance. Maybe the vertical travel can be reduced with shocker adjustment. It does look odd with a big gap between fender and seat but maybe I'll get used to it. Also, the gap will reduce considerably when 2 people are sitting on the bike!!

cheers

If possible, try to photo shop one of Big Bear choppers seats
on to the Rocker. The seat from the Venom pro street or
something similar.

Glad to, but please find me the seat pic so I know I have what you want? Pic needs to be at same angle as the bike I just did, or sideways because we have pics of a rocker that way too. I can also flip the seat horizontally and/or tilt it some, but it needs to be close.

JB, ON BIG BEAR CHOPPERS VENOM ETC THE BACK OF THE SEAT IS HARD UP AGAINST THE FENDER, THEY CAN DO THIS BECAUSE THE REAR OF THE SEAT WHICH IS AGAINST THE FENDER IS SOFT AND HAS GIVE IN IT SO WHEN THE SWINGARM MOVES THE GUARD DOESNT GET DAMAGED IN ANY WAY

Can't be done, not even with photoshop. The perspective is still there. For instance a true pic sideways would show the wheels as perfectly round and the rims even all around.

Note the back wheel. See how much of the inside of the rim you see in the back? You'd still see that. You'd still see both front forks that same distance apart instead of one hiding the other. Etc., etc.

If someone will find a pic of the seat sideways we have a pic of a Rocker sideways and it takes only about 5 minutes to chop the seats onto a different bike. (Same problem with seat. If this pic is used you still see that view of the seat instead of a profile.)

You can chop a pic up, piece it together, change the size, color, etc. rotate clockwise or counter clockwise, adjust brightness/contrast and a lot of things, but what's there is there.

Say you wanted to put a nude body on another person. The body is facing toward you but the pic of the head is looking away - you see the back of the head. No way can you rotate the head around. You don't have a pic of the face...

Crazy Canuck, still lovin your scoot.

If I do my Deuce, I'd do 2 things differently. Of course, that's the fun of Harleys - to each his own. I'm not saying this is better, it's just what I'd like on mine.

I'd powder coat the aftermarket fender braces black and I'd lift the tank 3 inches, like this...

Hey JB, I agree with you, the lines are nice, slight tank lift, maybe trim the rear fender but the paint job on your Deuce looks really slick. Would be a shame to paint it black!! Maybe you just need a second bike.... hehehehehe.

all the best

G'day gato,

You're currently about 10 years ahead of your time. Listen to your heart. Don't listen to your mates. It's only a matter of time before you reach Harley-Nirvana by owning one. It will be the first of many.

Good Luck Mate!

Hey thanks for the comps, but that would be my 4th (current) Harley and you'll have to talk to the better half about that, lol.

Here's the Deuce, and I might just be ready to make it black and make some other changes. That teal color really attracts water as you can see -

Damn, anybody who wants to get a ride on the back of that seat better have both a hard and narrow ass.
I KNOW my wife would kill me if I ever told her to get on the back of that.
Guess I'm just going to have to 'suffer' with my Custom for a few more years.

Nice paint job, but I still can't get into that ribbed oil tank.

Hi everyone.  I'm new to the forum, but I have loved harleys ever since my dad rode me on his 58 panhead when I was about 4 years old!!! I have never owned my own Harley, but I am very happy to say that I have my name on the first Rocker c to come to my local dealership!!! I have always liked black and thats what I ordered, but the blue looks awesome. I hope that I do not regret it.

Go back up this thread to post 100. Looks like Jucifer managed a good job of painting a seat in from the side.
