Sorry y'all,

I find it odd that there's already 120 posts on this thread and nobody has a Rocker to post pictures of.

ADMIN: Please relocate this to a discussion topic and start a new Rocker Pictures thread.

How are we supposed to post pictures of our Rocker when they are not out until September?

And I just can't get over "the floating seat", that's just bad.

if u like the black c check this vid http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/harley-davidson/2008-harleydavidson-models-61454.html
*the vid is poor quality*

what i dont understand is why HDs web-site shows it to have red flames, but if you look close at those pics and at the black in this vid it isnt red flames but like ghost flames. which is it going to be???

i saw the rocker @ sturgis.  hd had 3 of them on display.  you could sit on them.   it felt like a deuce to me.  i definatly see a lot of potential in the custom world for this one.

Our local dealer is having an open house Saturday with all the '08 models. We'll show up for the poker run and if the Rocker is there, I'll take some pics and post 'em.

At risk of being seen as a bit slow...... I have just discovered that you can actually download all or parts of the Accessory Catalogue from the HD site at:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/Accessories_and_Apparel/Accessories_and_Apparel.jsp?locale=en_US
Click on "Genuine Motor Accessories". The downloads are up to 20Meg as a pdf file. Very handy for RockerC buyers like me who have have yet to even see a catalogue!! Sadly, there ain't much for the Rocker yet!! Will we get a chromed Pillion setup to suit the "C"?? Or an FXCW regular single seat to replace the "C" version? Maybe Corbin will come to the rescue.

The Rocker does look a really smart bike, but I cant help but think, that in 18 months time there will be alot of these being sold used, as I reckon people will get fed up with it, but I wouldn't mind 18 months of owning one though.  I wonder how this bike being built by harley will effect the custom bike builders, Im sure we will see a few going under over this. Think about it you can now buy a relable custom bike with a full manufactories warranty, for a realistic price, and still be able to customise it to your own taste, its got to be a weekend warriors dream

Hey yall, new member, first post.

I first saw a picture of the rocker a couple days ago and fell in love with it. Im in Afghanistan right now and will be going home in mid Oct. I was wondering how ordering a bike works. I deffinatly want the standard rocker in plain black, do I have to already have it financed or do I just put some cash down to get on the list. Anybody know about how long of a wait it is to get one in Texas? I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place but we dont get much internet time here so I just did a search for harley rocker and this came up, just hoping to get some info without using all my internet time. I hope yall wont mind helping me out a little. I saw a couple of the pictures yall photochoped, great work! I realy like those new pipes somebody choped onto it!

Bottom line... One hell of a goofy bike... Two-up look is ridiculous. Not made for rally duty (how do you mount saddlebags/sissy bar). Fun for a bar-hopper -- or for Sturgis trailer weenies... other than that, well, you know where I stand... HD needs to keep it real... don't worry about the OCC or Victory crowd - trust me, everyone experiences the flight to quality sometime - there's no need for HD to stoop to their level!

it looks like your going to have to get in line, if you have not put $ down now at a decent price ur best bet is to wait awhile, some of the dealerships are asking crazy amounts for them now, some $2k over msrp, i have even seen some posts here saying that there are dealerships asking $4k over msrp. good luck.   stay alert and ready over there

Who needs saddlebags & sissy bars??? How about anyone who is serious about putting real miles on their bike. This bike was made for the trailer trash crowd (those who trailer their bikes to rallys) & guys who put less than 2K miles/year on their bike. Also, be honest... there's no way the 'trick seat' is comfortable! For me, I won't buy a bike that I can't throw a honey on the back (with all her crap) & hit a rally a couple of hundred miles away; and no chick I've ever met will feel comfortable on the back of a bike that doesn't have a backstop. it's just doesn't offer enough utility for me to be interested.

Sounds good. You made up your mind for what works for you, so why bash the poeple who've made up their mind a little differantly? To me one of the main aspects of motorcycling is freedom. One of those freedoms is choosing a bike that works for the rider, if this is a style and type of bike that works for an individule so be it. To each his own. You've said you dont like it and wont buy it, ok that's fine. There's no reason to try and rain on the parade of people who do like it and want one. You want to put a "honey" on the back of your bike, cool man. Some of us like to go it alone. You want to be able to strap your gear down, that's cool too. Some of us can do just fine with a back pack. This type and style of bike will apeal mostly to a minimalist. A bare bones bike for bare bones people.

Point well made... I'm aligned with freedom too. Touché - But, for god's sake... ride your bike - don't trailer it!

A rocker with a springer front end, all black.
I'd trade up to that.

What is the $AUS Price? I am guessing about $34k + onroad ?

It's amazing to see a thread only 10 days old!! I heard the new range was out on the Internet on Monday. On Wednesday I ordered my new Rocker C. Sadly, I have to wait 6 months here in Oz for my new toy. The solo dealership here already had 4 on stock order and all were pre-sold.... bummer!!!

I'm sure it will be worth the wait. As for the seat....well........I reckon the "dickie-seat" is a brilliant concept but would not suit a wife/girlfriend for more than just a short trip. After all, I wouldn't want to sit on it for too long!!

The accessory pillion seat/backrest setup looks pretty substantial and suitably strong. I agree it looks a little bit odd being so high above the rear guard but may just look better in real life and/or with possibly slightly lowered suspension. I've always wondered why all those awesome US custom bike designers only built custom bikes for solo riders. Am I missing something here?? I've done 20,000 miles on my '03 WideGlide and 99% was 2-up. Am I supposed to tell my missus to stay at home 'cos my bike looks uncool with a 2-up seat?? Comments welcome!!

all the best from Downunda!!
