I purchased a kit (this uses your existing controls) from the Arlen Ness company which included black brackets to move controls 3" forward, new extended braided brake lines, longer shift rod, and all needed hardware. After mounting most people cannot even tell that the alteration has been made, but my legs can tell.

Call  Juliene Alves at 925 479-6350 (Arlen Ness Company)

She emailed me the following:

Extension kit for 2007 models is compatible. The necessary t-bracket needed for 08 application is now included.
Details are as follows:
#07-611 = 3" FWD CTRL EXT. KIT, 07 FXST / $199.95
#07-611-3B = BRAKE TEE BRACKET, 2007-2008 SOFTAIL, BLK

I also heard that complete extended controls can be purchase - not sure where.

I used the Arlen Ness kit to move my controls 3"  cheap and easy..  not sure if the rocker has the same set up.

Here is a link to HD parts for 3" extensions.

Part #49223-08 Black, list price $379.95
Part #49171-08 Chrome, list price $449.95

Sounds like the Ness kit is alot less expensive.  Do you think it would be worth it to have HD part installed by the dealer to get the 24 month warranty?

Let me know what you decide to do on the bags.  The extra storage would be great, but not sure about the look either.

what custom chopper could you get for the money?  And have the HD backing?  Maybe put yourself one together.  Time is money.

Yeah - I'm not sure if I like the look of them either.  The seat and the tailight make it so the top has to be narrow.  Right now HD is the only one out there with bags that fit.  I contacted Chilhowee Leather to see if they had any bags for the Rocker and they said they are coming out with a whole line of stuff in about 7 to 8 weeks.  I'm gonna hold off getting bags til I see what others have to offer.

Here are a few showing some minor upgrades...I'm getting the chrome switch housings and master cylinder controls installed tomorrow.  Still waiting on the V & H BR and the high flow A/C.  I also plan to get some Arlen Ness Rad2 mirrors...

Chrome rear deflector and chrome inspection plate and sprocket bolt covers...

Centerline pegs...

Centerline Grips...

I'm 6'3" myself and I was wondering if switching seats would stretch things out a little. I'm wanting to replace the stock seat with the Heartland 2 Spring Bobber seat. I'm hoping this will position the seat a little lower and to the back just a little. I love the bike, but the distance between the seat and fender needs to be closed up a bit. I'd appreciate some opinions or other ideas on this. Thanks.

Have you ever had someone take a photo of you sitting on the bike with your full weight on it?  That gap between the seat and fender closes up quite a bit.  I was surprised when I saw a photo with me on it - and I only weigh 200 lbs.

Come on guys there have been two or three people on here with lowered rockers, please share with us how u done it??? Besides exhaust that is the main thing I want to do! My local steeler said that the kit avalible for other softails would not work, but they have said that about all kinds of different mods I have done to my Rocker C. Thank you for your time.

No, sorry. I didn't think to ask how, just figured it would've been like any other softail.

I suppose I'm wrong, huh?

All I know is that it closed that big gap up between the seat and fender and smoothed out the lines of the bike. Looks less choppy, and flows way better.
I guess I could ask and get back to you, however, everytime I go up there it costs me at least a hundred bucks.

This is my new Rocker in Crimson Red built March 16, 2008.  I ordered it in February.  My dealer had it pre-ordered as a Rocker-C and he changed it to a Rocker for me as I didn't want the C.  I had never seen a Rocker up close before I ordered it, but had seen pictures here and I also had a Stage One and V&H Big Radius Pipes added to the deal.  It sounds excellent, better than my Road King with the custom tune.  It is nimble, quick, loud and I am really happy with it.  Remember, gunmetal gray is the new Black! (grin)

Hope to see all you on the road.
