Terry,
I think your already behind the 'hounds', they have been looking to have one of these started for a day or two now.
Just don't expect to see any Rocker owners pics for at least a month yet.

any of the above pics where you can see a small tailight, those are actually european models, and I found those pics on european sites....they have a small tailight near license plate while domestic models here dont have any light there....

it will probably be september till we get some members pics up with these bikes...but it would be great if it came in before!...

I am starting to really like this bike. I think with some Big Radius pipes and some Street Slammer bars it would look really good. I am sure that the bike will look even better in person. I think that the rear of the bike is great with the wide tire and the "custom" look rear fender. I dont really like the gap between the seat and the fender, but I doubt it would keep me from buying one.

Heres a question though....

When they went with the 240mm rear did they offset the motor even more? and if so how does this handle?

Looking at the pics the Rocker Custom has the two-up seat and not the standard rocker?

rocker standard model comes with solo seat(not fold away) but you can buy an accessory seat for it with passenger pillion( but it looks like crap and cannot fold down)

If I were to get a standard rocker I would order the TRICK fold away seat for it.

I'm curious about something. Is the Rocker with the fold away seat designed for single guys bar hopping in hopes of picking up a chick to ride on the back? If they strike out they keep the seat tucked away, but if they get lucky they pop it out and ride away for a fun evening.
If this is it's purpose, why would a happily married guy want one?
I don't know, but it looks like the answer to a un-asked question to me, but if I were a young single stud I might be hot for one.
Please educate this happily married codger.
I think it's funny looking, but look at my ride. What do I know?
No flame intended, I'm just curious to understand the reasoning behind the inovative design.
Marsh

It hard to tell from the photos, but I don't care for the Nickle finish on the Rocker, I prefer the Chrome on the Rocker C.  I think the Nickle might get old real fast, then again without seeing it first hand it's hard to tell.

yah I agree...it might look great or horrible....i think it would be hard to keep clean though...not sure if it will be smooth or more cast like in finish...the chrome really looks good on the C model...

From the looks of that fold away seat, about all its gonna do is get her home.   Honestly I didnt really like the Rocker when I first saw it. But from all the tricked out pics ive been seeing here.  Its starting to grow on me,  I especially like the blacked out look.

It's amazing to see a thread only 10 days old!! I heard the new range was out on the Internet on Monday. On Wednesday I ordered my new Rocker C. Sadly, I have to wait 6 months here in Oz for my new toy. The solo dealership here already had 4 on stock order and all were pre-sold.... bummer!!!

I'm sure it will be worth the wait. As for the seat....well........I reckon the "dickie-seat" is a brilliant concept but would not suit a wife/girlfriend for more than just a short trip. After all, I wouldn't want to sit on it for too long!!

The accessory pillion seat/backrest setup looks pretty substantial and suitably strong. I agree it looks a little bit odd being so high above the rear guard but may just look better in real life and/or with possibly slightly lowered suspension. I've always wondered why all those awesome US custom bike designers only built custom bikes for solo riders. Am I missing something here?? I've done 20,000 miles on my '03 WideGlide and 99% was 2-up. Am I supposed to tell my missus to stay at home 'cos my bike looks uncool with a 2-up seat?? Comments welcome!!

all the best from Downunda!!

kiteman

All I can say is at first the pics I saw on here, I thought it was a very "different" bike, but my new 08 accessory book came yesterday, and I have so say the real pics of the bike in the catalog do a lot for that bike.

kiteman what colour did you order, i ordered the blue custom today that will cime in the first wave of bikes, i to am not keen on the seat but will just have to see it in the flesh. I seen a picture of the standard rocker in black in the accessory catalogue today, it was a really good photo and that bike looks real tou
