I'll try this one in here.  I'm restoring my brakes of my side car and I need to see if the roller bearings in the brake hubs need to be replaced.  Does anyone know what the sizes and tolerances should be?  I have a 1930 VL with side car.  Not much literature out there that I could find.  According to the parts book it is part number 304-15 and is listed a crank pin roller, .360" long.  Anyone have any other info

Thanks

Peter

Peter -

Here is a bearing cross-ref that I build on from time to time:

http://www.terra-glide.net/rollercross.html

It's in no way complete.  Just a work in progress.  It does, however, list your bearing and it's uses that I've found.  If you have some way to lap your bearing race true, I would say do so to set it at an 0.0008" clearance.  But, if not, try to find a roller oversize that will bring it to a 0.001" fit, unlapped.  I can get just about any of these rollers, and some in oversizes that the OEM manual does not list.  Let me know what you do.

Thanks for the info Jack.  I'll mic them and see where I stand.  Although for the cost of them If I've completely ripped the brake down why not just replace them.
