Although the ProPipe was a strong contender, I settled on the D&D Fat Cat instead for my '05 Deuce. I liked the reviews I read for the FC, and the FC appeared to be positoned a tad lower than the other brands, which opened up the rear wheel a little more. The other reason besides performance that moved me to settle on a 2 into 1 system was the fact that the 2 into 1s are so rare in my area. (and so is the Deuce model, for that matter!) I wanted a different look than what everyone else had, and I think I got it with the 2 into 1 addition, regardless of brand. I walked out of the local dealership yesterday and into a small crowd of other riders standing around after having just arrived or preparing to leave. Once I hit the starter button and fired that engine up with the Fat Cat, everyone stopped and turned around to look. I was worth the expense and trouble just cruising out of the lot while they all stared, whether or not they liked the look or the sound - it didn't matter to me either way. (VooDoo - I like those pics of your Deuce. It's a sweet ride!)

Dan, I have the same scrape on mine - you will probably find you also scrape the back bracket - (hang pretty low) - Still got a few things to chrome and I currently have another set of tins sitting at the ready to be painted as soon I can get my designs clear enough in my head to relay them to an artist... these things are worse than kids - the kids eventually go an hopefully you can stop spending money on them, Harley's are a constant cash drain!! Les, I am going to have to get a listen to a FC - I love the sound of the V&H but I can honestly say I have never stopped a crowd with it... the V&H has a beautiful low rich tone, where is the FC tone?

The Fat Cat's tone is on the low side as well. I think everyone stopped to look because it simply sounds so different than the customary "potato...potato...potato" of a Harley V-twin. They may not have even liked the sound! Its more of a "burble", and it will talk to ya when you roll on the throttle. The PP may sound similar. I cant say that I've ever heard the PP, so I don't know.

Craig, It is the Legend and I like it very much... nice to pump it all the way up when beating down the highway and enjoying the comfort of a softtail, then dropping it for Bar hopping or cruising... these bikes just look good IMHO when they are slammed but then this old guy would die on a day to day rigid.

Buzz, i was kinda going that way because of the air pressure gauge on the rocker box cover, progressive has a big cover on the opposite side. what color would you call your bike....purple or navy, i really like the long front fender, changes the look of the bike totally. did you have any motor work done.

Craig - the color is Harley Concord Purple, although I am currently working on a custom scheme that changes the base color to a cobalt blue. The front fender is a Fat Katz that has been doubled along the sides to provide rigidity - this thing is firm at high speed.

Craig - I am really happy with the CP but I have a theme in my head that I am struggling to relate to an artist - going with a Navy theme that hopefully will turn out to be all I hope it will be... Thinking of using a deep cobalt blue as the base color.

Hey guys I just bought a 06 deuce and I am looking for some good ideas for exhaust. I was wondering if any one has ever heard of the "Joker Machine" chopper pipes. They look really good on the website but I would love to see them on a deuce does anyone have any pictures of these pipes on a deuce or a nightrain? also if you have any info on other pipes that work good on this bike and pics of them. other ones I was looking at are samson slashers. any advice would help. thanks

VooDoo, what brand windshield do you have on your Deuce? I didn't believe that a windshield could ever look good on a Deuce, but it does on yours.

Did a lot of looking before finding this one, it wasn't cheap but I like it - I have the 14" WindVest it is not like riding with a fairing but sure does make a difference... I also like the fact that it doesn't detract from the bike, rather accents it I think. Check out the link below Windvest for Deuce

Congrats on the new sled - looking good - be careful though, the Mod Addiction is very very dangerous! Welcome to the Forum.

Thanks for the link. I checked them out. The price really isn't as much as a windshield from Harley by the time you buy the docking hardware. I like the look, and a little less wind fatigue during day-long rides would be nice, expecially if the windshield doesn't detract form the bike. How much improvement have you noticed using the Windvest? BTW - Have any of you Deuce owners had your stage I bike engine dyno'd using the SERT? What modificatons were done to the program's basic map as the result of the dyno? I downloaded the "canned" map contained in the software program and the bike seems to run just fine with it without any additional mods. If only slight mods were made to a dyno'd stage I motor, I am wondering if its worth the expense for me to pay for dyno time at all!
