I got my bike about a week and a half ago. I've been waiting for about 25 years for this thing and it's been well worth the wait. Here it is:

By the way, can anyone tell me what's not right about my bike in this picture?

It's the black back rim is different.

Good eye Reno. I guess that was to easy. I got lucky with that wheel. When I bought my bike they told me before I even saw it it had Standard wheels on it. When I went to pick it up they said it had the profile wheels on it. If I wanted the profiles left on it would cost me an extra $495. Me personally, I don't much care for the profile wheels. They told me I could go with the standard silver wheels or go with the Night Train wheels which are not an actual option on this bike. As you can see the Night Train wheel looks great.

Hey Jeff, how's it goin'? How do you like the Samson Ripsaws? Do they have baffles or not? How do they sound? I'm wanting to get new pipes, but I don't want to go to loud. Thanks for your input.

Love the new series of Samson pipes. These do have baffles, and welded on heat shiels. Seamless, and no hose clamps holding them on. I had SE2 slip ons before these, and the Samsons are louder, but not overbearing loud. They have a nice deep rumble to them and make the bike sound like a Harley should IMO.

My friend got them from the Harley dealer for my birthday. I looked it up in the parts cataloge last night and it was $60 for the kit. The only problem making sure the alignment of the lights were correct.

Can I use your garage? Looks like you have too much, way too much room in it! Yes, and we still have salted roads, so until it rains to wash the salt off them, I'm stuck in my small(!) garage.

Thanks scott. I'm changing the front fender to a early 70's style XL fender. Looks real retro almost like an FL fender but made for the 21" wheel. Its only about $100 out of the JP cycle book. Hope to do it in the next month or so.

Thanks JLOCKHART29

I bought her bone stock '93 and did the full chop myself in '99. Cool thing is that she is the first year Softail and first year Evolution, and also has the stock chain final drive and 4 speed tranny with kick start - so kind of a unique bird. But now I wouldn't change a thing... : )

Here's my new addition. Have far to go, but we've made some headway with the new chrome inner and outer primary.

Not much upgrades to mine since I bought it 2 weeks ago, exept the mini ape hanger bars and stainless brake and cable lines. Getting new slip-on mufflers (cycle shack) in a week.
