New front fender for the bike. I cut down the fender mounts since this pic so it would sit lower on the tire. Once I paint it I'll post another pic.

Here's a couple of pics of my 06 FXST. Day 1 the maiden trip home and a few days later, after the start of Blingorama.

Well I'm done for now. I just put the new front fender on the bike on Sat. I like it. Not the greatest pics but you get the idea. I'll take a better pic later this week. Monday I'm off to the Arctic Circle so this new fender should keep the crap off the front end. I hand striped the flames myself, it was my second shot at it, the first was the rear fender, far from pro but looks good to me. I love the copper metal flake I put in the orange.

Thanks guys. My next item(s) are from S&S. I saw in the latest Iron Works mag that S&S has a kit for stock twin cams. Its a tear drop cover that fits the stock carb, a fiter, jet kit and slash cut slip ons. They claim 10 + horses. The cost was just over $500 US. Sounds not bad.

Where did you get the Chrome primary cover, Chrome trans cover, and Chrome cam cover? I have been looking at prices for these 3 pieces as indivuduals it seems to cost almost as much as doing to whole chrome kit from Harley.

Hi
I just joined today and thought I would post a few pics of my FXST, I bought from a man who was selling for his brother who died in a car crash last year, he did all the mods. I never met him but think he did a great job and cared for the bike alot.
Anyway here it is I don't have any credit in the mods but I do intend to continue the work in progress, I would like to change the rear end to a 200mm, (if any of you know the steps and what is implicated into doing this please pm me the info), I would also like to put ape hangers on because of my hieght and maybe a stretched tank and slo-seat. The gold paint is really gold leaf applied to the tank then clear coated.
I live in Montreal where the riding time is short but the building time is great

Wow! Nice ride. Like the paint. What does the (D) stand for in the FXSTD? Never heard of a standard with a D in it. Either way nice ride, enjoy.

Thanks,
The "D" stands for Deuce however my mistake this is not a deuce, just a "standard" wich means that it is the best candidate Not to be standard if you know what I mean.
I correctd that, thanks again.

(I also posted this in the New Members section)
I finally got the bike, an '06 Softail Standard, and if I posted the pic correctly, this will be the before pic. My 12 yr old son and I plan to customize it over the Alaskan winter here. It's a special bike, (I've posted this before), because it is a cool father/son project, It is a present to myself for time away from the family while overseas, it's the last of the 88's and the first of the 200's, the part we can have fun with during the customizing....... it was built on 6 June 06. That's right it's a 6-6-6 bike.... Bwahahaha. Here goes with my first pic post......

Rodder37. Awsome bike to play with and as you can see I have done some work with mine. Took it home new in 01 and do a little each year. I was in your neck of the woods this summer, Homer, Achorage, Fairmanks, Arctic Circle, ect. You guys have awsome roads to ride on. My two favs were Anchorage to Homer and Palmer to Tok. Enjoy the ride dude and keep us all posted on the updates.

Here's mine - She's only got 350 miles on it, so I haven't had time to do much to it yet, pegs and grips for creature comfort. Chrome kit is going in when I do the 1000 mi service......Will update photos then!!
