First and foremost...thats a great looking bike you got there!

I got three questions for you, if you would be so kind:

1st, Did you powdercoat your factory rims? If so, can I get a close-up shot of one. If not, can you inform me what kind you got?

2nd, Who makes that cool saddle bag you got there?

Finally 3rd, What kind of mirrors are you using in this pic?

Thanks a lot...

Hey, Thanks for the compliments!!!

Skullhead,  FYI, X-Bones console does not bolt right on. You need to modify the carriage bolt bracket by cutting and bending. I thought it would be easy.........LOL.  but, Once purchased, I had to make it work.

SKT,
1. Rims & hubs were powder-coated when I got it from the dealer.
2. Saddlebad is an old bag I had in the garage for 15+ yrs. (used to carry car pull-out stereos) remember those??
3. Mirrors are from Custom Chrome, 3" round. I painted black with spray can.

Thanks again!!

Hey, thanks for the answers.

Love that saddle bag, as it looks great on the bike! Gonna have to keep my eyes peeled for one.

PTS -

Very nice!  I really like the headlamp work (see my ponderings below).  The pinstriping on the oil tank is a very nice and subtle touch as well.

Looking for some honest feedback on my trim rings.  I spraypainted them gloss black... if I like it I'm going to go ahead an have them powdercoated.  Opinions?

I agree PTS! Great looking bike. I dig the headlight painted to match bike and really like pinstriping on oil tank, Great job.
I had some pinstriping done on my bike as well......tank, fenders, both lights, dash console, forks and struts. Makes a big difference.

Thanks for the compliments! The headlight is powdercoated that was matched to the factory green. Good buddy of mine owns the powdercoating business.

Thanks,

Perry

I just love coming in here to look at the Spingers.  Nice bikes, guys!

I just swapped out my Chubby 9.5 Springer Apes for a set of custom built ones that are powder-coated black and also had the engine guard powder-coated black.  It made a huge difference.  I need to clean the bugs off of her and will get some pictures posted this weekend.

Here are some pictures of her with the new custom bars and the powder-coated engine guard.  I like the extra black, do you?  The only "major" change I am going to make (yea, right) is that I am going back to black walls when a tire needs changing.  I have become convinced that black walls fit this bike better than the wide whites.

Also, if anybody wants to buy a set of Wild 1 Chubby 9.5" Springer Apes, pm me with a reasonable offer.

I too am going back to the black walls, for 3 reasons
1. I blacked out the bike
2. Less expensive
3. WW Are a bITCH to keep clean!

Still needs more black if you ask me Bluzman!

I agree with both of you two...Blackwalls would look better on both bikes...  needs fringe though.

PTS, great looking bike... How did you terminate your front blinker wiring? Or maybe I should ask where? The look is very clean, and I like those blinkers on the back who makes those?

Willy - Thankyou for the compliment! Your bike definitely has the right look and not over done.

Church - The front blinker wiring was cut and sealed off with heat shrink by using a pair of pliers to close the end while hot. The wiring was the ran back under the tank for easy access if I need to re-install front blinkers. I also purchased a plug in module from Custom Dynamics to slow down the blinkers and also to compensate for the lack of front blinkers, and the upgraded rears to L.E.D. The rear blinkers are made by Auto Gem which I purchased thru JP Cycle. You will have to do some wiring. I removed the rear fender for better access and a cleaner job.

Hope this helps...
