Default 2008 Tranny Problem!!!

Hey guys, forgot to mention. A representative from the HD factory stopped by the dealer. One of the salesmen asked him if the 2008 transmission had been fixed since the '07 had a noise problem in 5th gear. He replied, "What problem?" "There is no problem with the transmission. The same one is installed in '08 models." The guy had never heard of any problems with the '07 transmission.

If you take a look at the HD website, look at 2008 softail models, exploded trany view shows the exact same as 2007. 5th is straight cut?? My dealer says that appart from some models being dropped, new ones added (Rocker)and some color changes, mechanicals are the same as 2007.

Well there appears to one report of an 08 clatter bucket. Just less so, but the clatter is there.

Going to need more bandwidth on the tranny section of the forum as the 08s start complaining too.
