Tommy,

Congrats on the tuning.  Care to post that map?  I wouldn't mind taking a gander at it.  Right now I am about to adjust the fuel trim on the rear cylinder as popular perception is that the rear jug runs leaner due to less cooling.  Hope that helps.

I can't seem to upload one I'm trying , I may just do a Print Screen photo and you'll need to punch in each block on the map Either way it's worth a try

I took my 07 Heritage Softail to the Rolling Thunder Dyno booth at the TN State HOG Rally. I got the works: Stage 1 Air kit and Power Commander III USB but I like the stock pipes. He did a Dyno on mine added the PC III and did a custome Map for me
CUSTOM MAP FOR BOB D 6-2-07 ( TENN HOG)
2007 FLSTC  96 CI.
STOCK ENGINE WITH HI FLO FILTER
STOCK MUFFLERS
PC WITH REV EXTEND
A huge increase in Torque and Ponies, no more pinging, high head temps and surging at all speeds. I'm a happy camper!

I went from 56HP to 70hp & 68 to 82 lb Torque ( I mis-typed torque number in previous post as 76). Running stock pipes and K&N air filter kit.

It feels like allot more than 14 and I know I could increase that with some performance exhaust components but I like the stock ones. Plus, they actually sound different now with the PCIII pumping the right air/fuel to the engine. Here's John doing his "Dyno Magic"

My '06 RK was starting to drive me nuts. It was cold blooded and popped constantly on decel. It also had an annoying surge at low RPMs. The bike has Samson Rolled Thunder slip-ons, SE air cleaner and Stage 1 download (which accomplished almost nothing). I put in my PCIII and loaded the map 807-216. I also activated the accelerator pump feature at 90/20/5%. I'm thinking it's almost sure to be a little rich at this point, but every single annoying symptom is gone with the exception of very minor decel popping. From the posts on the Forum, it isn't too hard to get rid of those completely with a little bit of work. I plan a dyno tune at some point to get the most out of the combination, but right now the difference is night and day. Actually, as long as the plugs read OK I might just leave it. After all, we lived with jets, mixture screws and plug reading for years and didn't even know how bad we had it.  I have seen lots of mixed reviews on the PCIII USB, but from my standpoint, it is the best $270.00 I have spent on the bike. I'm sure the SERT and the autotuners are great, but I can pretty much have my PCIII die and replace it for what one new SERT costs, and I couldn't afford the Thundermax anyway.

The PCIII isn't perfect, but it is a really nice piece of gear.

I'm running a custom map from Jamie at fuel motto 812-511, my mods are Rush slip ons with 2.5 baffles, K & N high flow a/c, & the PCIII. Bike is not running the greatest, lots of decel popping & pinging when under load &/or hard roll on. Anyone else have a similar setup or an alternate map I can try? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Nomad,
I'm assuming you never got your PCII USB at www.fuelmottousa.com Still, you might go there & give Jamie & his wife a call. It probably wouldn't be free...but Jamie could put you together a map & email it to you. These people are great folks, and he really knows what he's doing with a PCIII. Besides being the cheapest place to buy a PCIII these people are great Americans. Give em a shot.

HELP WITH SERT MAP - 9/28/2007 10:23:53 PM
Mr. Scratch

I was hoping someone could help me out with a map. I just received my SERT and would like to re map my bike. I have a 05 Dyna Super Glide Custom fuel injected. I've done a little work to it hear we go.
SE high flow air cleaner
SE Tunable two-into-one exhaust system part # 80091-03
MSD Coil
MSD  8.5 Spark plug wires
I ported and polished the intake manifold (removed all casting marks inside manifold)
I reworked a stock set of heads that had 100 miles on them
Ported and polished the intake and exhaust ports also cleaned up the combustion chamber. To make sure both heads were the same I used my Cylinder Head CC'ing kit that I used when I drag raced years ago. I more less cleaned everything up on the heads and made sure both cylinder heads were identical.
The bike runs great, better than when I started. I know with a new MAP I would really feel more as to take advantage of all the work I've done. I'm pretty good at turning wrenches and machine work I've built many nitrous and blower motors from my Drag Racing days, but computers systems I suck at. Any ideas on a MAP  I should start off with would be great. I know with some new mapping this thing should scream. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Scratch

I have an 07 Dyna, K & N a/f, S/E IIs, PC3.  I just loaded the canned map from PC for this set up and the bike runs good.  I've been playing around with different exhausts and maps.  I've put on the slip ons to get me through until next spring when I can get something else.
I just noticed that PC has come out with some new maps for 07s.  They have an advanced map now for Rush slip ons 1.75 baffles and SE a/f.  It has different values for each cylinder.  "The rear cylinder is fuel table 1".  It looks like the rear cylinder on the advanced map is running alittle richer than the front, which I'm guessing is due to heat.
I did a map compare with the S/E basic map and the Rush advanced map.  The basic map values are pretty close to the rear cylinder values, but the front cylinder on the advanced map seems to be quite a bit leaner than the basic map.  Does anyone think there would be a problem with trying this advanced map on my set up?
Would anyone mind explaining what the advantage is with the advanced maps when the different cylinders are running from different fuel tables?
J.B.

I need some map help. This in an 04 Road King, 95" big boar kit with flat top pistons, 211SE cams, Arlen Ness AC, & PC III USB.
I just installed Fat Cat 2-1 exhaust system changing from stock pipes w/SE slipons.  I got alot more torgue with the Fat Cats and was running very rich, plugs were black after first run, so I leaned out low and mid button on PC III.  I am going to Lubbock in a couple of weeks for a dyno tune but need a better map for the 200 mile ride.  Any help would be much appreciated.

One thing I've noticed about SERT maps on most of the forums is, that most folks don't share what they've got or they are tough to find for your bike. Well, after a year and 1/2 of searching I've found a great map for my config, which is:

'06 SG (Or any '06 touring bike w/ 8* injectors )
SERT
SE air intake (or similar open a/c)
V&H Dresser Duals and Oval mufflers (or similar true duals with non-restrictive mufflers)

I've had the bike Dyno-tuned with "not-so-great-results" (I later found out the "tuner" just loaded a canned map (NR101- cal#27) and just ran it on the dyno... that's another story,LOL! Tried a map from HD maps.com...wasted $$. tried various maps scrounged from the forums.
Most maps that folks use for 'glides' have been tweaked from maps that involve the use of the touring head pipes (with the rear crossover) If you change to a true dual system then it only makes sense to me to start with a softail maps that uses separate dual exhaust.
Now this map (derived from cal.# 23 - 141NP101) has been tweaked by a dude from Germany over a period of a year and 1/2 using the data log info from a TwinScan 88 on his -06 Dyna ( they had no O2 sensors on Dyna's in Europe for "06) . This was done the RIGHT way. He knows and understands the use of this tool. The VE values have been changed along with the timing and I added some AFR tweaks.  He still even working to improve it (Thanks to Dan Blomgren)

My bike has never run so smooth and strong. There is absollutely NO decel pops or backfiring on the hardest of closed throttle decelaration, NADA!  My gas mileage is awesome...42-50 mpg's!
So, if anyone has a config similar to mine, I'll be more than happy to share this map with you. Give it a try and see how it goes. Hopefully you'll have the same great results I've had. If you're interested my email is lnarudolph@comcast.net
Cheers!
Larry

Sorry, but it won't work for an '08. You have the 96 cubic inch motor and mine's an '88 cubic inch. And you're right about the O2 sensor's. You'll be needing a closed loop map. Sorry, bud.

I feel your pain MassHD.
I have an 08 Road glide. SE Stage I air, Reinhart TD exhaust, SERT (still in their original cartons), but no map. Spent all my money on bike and the above extras. Want to do it myself. Dealer will provide a canned map for $$$ but how many has any dealer done to know what he is doing with this new techno?

I have a 06 EG with SERT, SE air cleaner and Vance and Hines classic slip ons. I tried the stock map on the SERT CD for SE Air cleaner and SE exhaust but had decell popping and sputtering on accel. I knew I need to get it dyno'd but I didn't have the cash so I downloaded a map from HDMaps and that did the trick for me. I've heard some good and bad about that site but it worked great for me. If anyone needs the maps PM me and I'll send them to you.

Homee that exactly the set up I want to buy. But I'm NOT laying out the cash until I can find a map. I just need one that's close so I can drive it to the dyno when I feel like it. You would think some one out there would have a good map by now.
08 with SE Stage I AC Rinhart TD sound like a pretty common set up to me. HD would have to change the throttle body size and screw everything up. Just like waiting for a after market seat to come out.

Looking for a map 07 FLHX, K&N, SERT, D&D Fatcat . Running the 159PZ004 canned map, run's ok but it could be a lot better i think.
