Here's a nice simple way of elimination some wiring on a custom or even a stock bike, makes it just mechanical and no electrical wiring... HERE

And if you have an older bike with the solenoid on the primary, this guy makes a mechanical switch for them... HERE

Skip was kind enough to point out that there is a mistake in this article. The author says it can be used on all Evo starters, but it can only be used on those with the solenoid that is parallel to the starter motor, not the older Softails with the solenoid on the left of the primary. It's s'posed to fit 1991 - 2005 (don't know about 2006) factory & aftermarket starters, except for Compu-Fire.
