No Virgil. I know that you know where I am.  I was h oping to get it Sac this Saturday.  Time to start rattleing heads to get something together.  I emailed some of the guys that said that they wanted to meet up.

Now to answer your ? Stjepan.  I really dont know.  I was in the middle of where it was and where it was going.  So I volenteered to go down and get it and take it up north.  Just keep tabs and when its in your area speek up.  Thats about it.

I would like to see the Mascot come to Texas again.  But as much as I'd like it to move down south, I honestly think it should stay hanging around up north as much as possible this summer.  I think it should definitely be at the 105th in Milwaukee Aug. 28-31.  Sturgis is Aug. 4-10.  Then there's a couple of events in June up North that it may attend.  The point is to get as many members as possible the opportunity to sign it?

Maybe after the 105th it could come down South for the winter and circulate further south than it did last year.  That may be projecting too far into the future, though....the main thing is worring about getting it up to the PacNW, and maybe some of our Canadian brothers would care to join in on the fun?

I will be heading to milwaukee in august, I am in northwest illinois (sterling) and would be honored to carry the flag a distance to or all the way to milwaukee.  If anyone from the Chicago area is heading up I could meet you in Chi and let you carry it in to Milwaukee.

Just ideas.  It is a long way off so I am sure I will be a trusted member of the community by then.

I freakin love this place!

Almost forgot to add, I will be looking for a yard to camp in and a tree to pee on somewhere close to Milwaukee the end of August.

Yaaaaaayyyyy!!!!!  The Mascot has finally gotten out of California!  Now you Northerners have had a long, cold winter, so it's now up to all of you to keep the Mascot circulating till after the 105th in Milwaukee.  After that, I'd like to see it in Texas again, and maybe somewhere along the Gulf Coast, too, if anybody's interested that far south.  September sounds good to bring it to the southern states for the winter.  Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Southern California...Not necessarily in that order, mind you.  And that's just a simple suggestion...I'm NOT in charge of anything!

Won't the 105th schedule compete with sturgis? Just wondering.

Now for the Mascot, where is it now?  all I saw was that it is now north, but where north?  just curious.

The Mascot has made it to the Vancouver in the Pacific NW and it is time for a Meet and Greet in the Vancouver/Portland area. I did the work so I picked the place. Go here to get the details and come and sign the mascot and get your pic with it.

There is hope that it will be able to go to Alaska and be able to work its way through both Canada  and the northern states too. Any help that you can provide in making that a reality will be great.

Here is a map of the travels of the mascot from the time I picked it up in Eugene OR from Shawn e. The story is this. Me and the wife loaded onto the bike and drove ~140 miles to Eugene OR to meet with Shawn e. and receive the mascot. We met at Doyle's Harley-Davidson at 12:00 and stayed until 13:00. No others were ale to make it to sign the mascot that day. We then shook hands and went our ways. The wife and I traveled up to Albany where we stopped for some lunch and to meet with my brother for the ride back to Battle Ground WA. The plan was to have a M&G in Vancouver the following week but the weather prevailed against us and the M&G was postponed for one week. On Saturday 4/26/08 a new M&G was scheduled in the Vancouver area at Love Leathers. One of our brothers, JonnyD, was not able to come to the M&G on the scheduled day because of his work schedule. We arranged to meet so that he could sign the mascot the night before the M&G. On Saturday we met at Love Leathers at 12:00 and hung out until 13:00. Several from the area came and signed the mascot and had their picture taken with it. At 13:00 a group of seven saddled up and took the mascot north to Centralia WA. We met Reefrider at the Burgerville in Centralia WA for the hand off. We met at ~14:30 and the mascot was handed off to travel north to Seattle. We stopped for lunch and then went or ways for the ride home. The mascot went on to Seattle where others will meet and sign the mascot. Then it will move on from there. The distance from Eugene OR to Centralia WA is ~202 miles plus a little extra to get home and all I put over 400 miles into the mascot movement and was happy to do so. It was cool to see the signatures of so many that I have seen on the forums and to finally meet and put faces to some that are in my area. I look forward to being able to ride with some in the future.

Great post BiggestDawg!  You spent more time and effort just trying to get it up to the PacNW than you actually did in your 400+ mile Mascot related journey!  Again, great job!

Now if the Mascot can just keep moving, that'll be cool!

After receiving the Masot from 'reefrider' at the Marysville M&G, it had an uneventful ride up the I5 to Bellingham.  While in Bellingham, the Mascot visited Bellingham H-D, which is one of the "FourCorners".   There it was given a very nice case to safeguard it during it's travels.  A meet & great was held at Scooter Stuff in Park, WA.  The Mascot was signed by  'tanglefootrkc', 'ratcat' and scooterstuff. Later in the week it went to Blaine, WA  and  Peace Arch Park. This park traverses the US/Canadian border and is a place a person can casually walk across the border without formally entering Canada.  It was here that I believe the Mascot first reached it's most northern point of travel to date and crossed an international boundary.
The closest forum member who had the interest and an actual plan to move the Mascot eastward was "itileman" who lives in Billings, Montana.  He will be meeting up with other HDF members enroute to the HDF Rally in Effingham, IL next month.  Plans were made for the handoff in Billings.
The trip to Billings began May 19.   I'd hoped to travel east on the N. Cascades Hwy, rte 20, but due to an avalanche at Washington Pass, that route was closed.  Not wanting to travel over Snoqualamie Pass and hit the traffic in the Seattle area,  I chose to head north and take a scenic ride through Manning Provincial Park in British Columbia.  The Mascot's most northern reach was at Princeton, BC and returned to the States at the Osoyoos/Oroville crossing.  I picked up rte 20 and took it over to US395 and then south to Spokane where the I90 was taken over to Missoula, MT for the night.      The next day, May 20th,  it was an easy ride on the I90 over to Billings were Brian and I met at noon and did the handover of the Mascot.
The info for the keeper of the  miles traveled by the Mascot, other than local in the Bellingham vicinity was, 53 miles from
Marysville to Bellingham and from Bellingham to Billings was 963 miles.

Did I add that right, wldbill?  1,016 transport miles in your hands?  If that's not a record, it's close!  Good job, and you handed it off to the closest one who you could find to make definite plans for it.  No, GREAT job!

It''s in Billings, MT. Will be hitting the road on Friday afternoon (6/20) and heading for the HD Forums rally in Effingham, IL by way of Tucson, AZ. My route will be through West Yellowstone, Salt Lake City, Phoenix. Will pick up my new/used Road King and head east.

Looking forward to the trip. Feel like a Pony Express rider. Toting the Mascot from Billings to Tucson, switching bikes and riding to Effingham. Long ride, hope the bikes hold up.

OK,
itileman passed me the mascot on Saturday at the Midwest Rally in Effingham, IL. I want to keep it moving as quickly as possible. Im headed to Cincinnati on Thursday to spend the 4th with my Mom, sisters and brothers. I can pass it on the way (Ill be going through Indy) or to someone in Cincy while Im there. Post here and shoot me a pm if you are interested. Id like it to go South or East after it gets passed but well have to see how it works out. It just came from the west coast so it does not need to ge west at this time. North might be a good idea too

Cool! Terry, I guess that means the HD 105th is out? Woulda been nice I think, but you''re right...East, South, or North. Where are our Canadian brothers? I know they are up there somewhere. I think East would be better for now instead of bringing it South this early. Well, the Mascot goes wherever the wind takes it, so it will go wherever it goes. I''m in DFW, Texas so I don''t it expect to be within 500 miles of here anytime soon. And with my work schedule there''s still no guarantee I''ll be able to take it, but I''m willing to ride like hell to DELIVER it somewhere!
 \\;
Um...on an off topic? How''s the bugs being worked out of the forum going? It''s better, but geez, this is taking a while! My apologies if I hit a sore spot on that

I would have no problem with the mascot making it to the 105th. I just need someone to head it that direction. Milwaukee is almost straight North of me.

The forum problems are driving me nuts. I got the one picture to post above and then went to another thread to post it and got the red x. Oh well. They are still working on it.
