If I can be of service, just holler.
I have family in central Florida, ( Ocala, Hudson, and St. Pete.. Friends In Tampa and Clearwater. ), and I'm sure I could Time a vist to Help out the cause here if needed.
Personally I'll pass on Daytona....
Been to enough Bike Weeks there to know what its about, but Leesburg has a Great Bike Event and will most likely be goin there.

Heh! sounds like if you an I swap the mascot we'll each be having a 10 minute ride. Here's an idea. Why dont you and I ride together halfway to B'ham and get it then ride together into south GA to pass it off? Let me know via PM because I always forget to check this section.

If you pick it up in Tallahassee, you can bring it down to Hudson, or St. Pete. And then from there several of us will bring it to Daytona.

oops !
Should have checked this thread first.
My answer in the other thread was due to me assuming from your post that you had it worked out.
I got no problem moving it south..... got a Sister in Palm Harbor / Hudson area, and my Mother lives with her.
Been trying to get down there to see them since a Christmas visit diddnt pan out.... this could work out for me !
Just lemme know the particulars, and I'll make arrangements.

Well I have the particulars worked out once it gets to Tallahassee, but as to when it will arrive, it is hard to say. It looks like they will be going through north Georgia before hitting Florida insted of going east through I-10. So we need to work out exactly how it will be moved from Texas where is currently is now.

So as I understand it, the mascot will arrive in Georgia around the end of March or 1st of April? Keep us posted. I would be willing to carry it to the next person or at least meeting up with them somewhere in Ga.

When is the mascot scheduled to move? If it does not move soon, the Florida plan will fall apart if it does not reach Tallahassee before the end of FEB.

The mascot is in Dallas with Skos. A couple weeks ago I PM'd him about meeting up east of Dallas from where I would haul it over to Louisiana to pass off to Mac11 who lives in Ruston. Both Mac11 and I have messages in to Skos without responses but it sounds like he's out of town working until early Feb.....which of course is just a couple days away. Next weekend's weather here looks good....sunny and in the 70's so I'm ready if he is.

Skos is in fact out of town. He said that he would be and that the 1st weekend in Feb would be the first time he could get loose.
I"m sure that that mascot will be moving right along very soon.

Do you think it is possible to step up your time table a bit so you can execute your plan and have it in Tallahassee before the end of the month? I think it is workable to do both. What do you think?

Hi Larry
All I know is that as soon as I get it, I will transfer it the following weekend. It is supposed to be heading this way this weekend, and will take 3 transfers to get to me. As far as having it in Tallahasee by the end of the month, I cant guarantee that. I can only guarantee that I will transfer within a week of getting it.
Look back at previous posts in these mascot threads and you will find all the guys talking about getting it after Bham. I would suggest doing some PM's to them. That should get it coming your way.

If they only do 1 transfer per week, it wont make it here in time. In order to pull this off, we need it in Tallahassee the weekend before Bike Week to give time to get it over to Tampa and then Daytona. We will have it in and out of the State within 1 week. 2 weeks tops and have several members that will have carried or had their picture taken with it. Is it possible to send it east to Tallahassee first since we are on a time crunch? We can send it back north with someone leaving from Daytona going back north. Then you would have plenty of time to follow your route before sending it to Myrtle Beach in May.

Bike Week is March 3-12th And we can see who would be willing to carry it north and where from Daytona. This is a good opportunity to get it to many members who are planning to attend.

I'm just another cog in the wheel. If you want it by then then you best sidestep me and the Alabama crew and meet Tim in Biloxi. Thats the only way I know if that it can possibly get to Bike Week in time. I percieve that having it at bike week is the best thing as far as the Forum itself is concerned. I am in Montgomery Alabama.
Here is the planned succesion. Or was.
Mac11 is in Rushton La.
He will pass off to Tim in St. Lamant La.
Tim would have passed off to me in Biloxi Ms. (so far no one in Ms seems to be interested.)
The forum names you need to contact are Mac11 and Tim
You can PM them (suggested for a quicker response) and meet up with Tim or whoever.
I will not be going to bike week. Not my kind of thing. Dont have the vacation time anyway. I reserve all my vacation time for ministry and seeing family.
It would be useless to bring it straight back from bike week to me. A better route would be to travel up through Ga after Fla. Plenty of guys in Ga want it also. They can bring it to Alabama. By that time I will most likely be in Ukraine on a mission trip.
I will leave it up to you to organize everything after this reply. I honestly feel that I have done my part by organizing everything to bring it southeast. Contact Mac11 or Tim and tell them that I have relinquished to you in favor of getting it to bike week.

Make sure you take plenty of pictures at bike week to post!!!!!!

Kevin, sorry that this is confusing. I'm sure that since you have been faithful to keep up with it that sometime after bike week you will see it. Everyone is doing their best, but as always not everyone will always be satisfied.

SKJOLD, sent reply to PM. Will also post here. I'm on call weekend of Feb. 11 and can not ride.(hospital call) I can meet mac11 in either Ruston(or better in Alexandria, La) next weekend and get it to Mikeeeee in Biloxi, Ms. I was thinking a HD dealership would be a good spot for pictures and exchanges.
