All you guys with the laydown license plate holders- where did you get them? Just got 06 Cobalt Blue Deluxe and absolutely love it! Still have the temp tag on it and have been looking for the laydown for week now, did a search with no luck. Thanks in advance for the help.

New engine guards and pegs for xmas

YES---I just got some "little things" but Christmas and Chrome just seem like they were meant for each other! New pics in the album whenever I have some time. :-)

boss bags they are the 42's

www.bossbags.com

just click on the link. they've got lots of pics of deluxe's with the bags.

best bags i've ever owned. THey are removable but with this size (their biggest) a bracket stays mounted on the big after removal of the bags. All other sizes I believe you're left with no bracket after removing the bags. good luck

Hi CJ

Great bike

What kind of highway pegs are you using on the nostalgia engine guards?

HD catalog only has a few that fit.

Did you need to get a special clamp for them?

Thanks

BillyJax-

They're HD Chrome & Rubber Custom Footpegs, SKU #50500-03. The mounting kit is the HD Chrome Billet Engine Guard Footpeg Mounting Kit, SKU #50957-02A. Very easy to install, they look great, and feel great! THANKS

CJ

Hey Luxe,
Great looking bike. You really put some work (& $) into it. That dash panel extension looks awesome (nice & clean). I just went running to my catalog but didn't find it -- where did ya get it ?

It is HD #71202-03. I also added the speedo visor# 74661-04. I have really enjoyed this bike, the customizing as well as the riding. I am really looking forward to spring.

Thanks Luxe,
Yea, I've got the speedometer cover on already - without it the speedometer didn't have a finished look (the grooves around the speedometer just didn't look right). I had a number of people over yesterday -- showed them the picture of your dash insert & then showed them what came on my Deluxe -- the all agreed your's looks a whole lot better - I'm going to get one next week.

It sucks that the Deluxe does not get the white & black nostalgic faced speedometer inn Canada, it's not available in metric.

Hey guys,

Finally got around to filling out my signature and adding a pic of my scoot. This was taken the day after I rode it home from the dealer. It's already got some new chrome on it. I've got the Stage I and V&H Bigshots staggered on order along with the Fuelpak that I'll install hopefully next weekend. I'll get morfe pics and change my sig after the pipes are on.

THE SEAT???? I'm sitting on the rear portion of the seat for maximum comfort. I'm only 5'11" and the seat is okay unit I get more than a few miles in the saddle and want to really relax. I don't want to change it yet because it's not "terrible"...I'm thinking I'll get used to it since IT IS my first cruiser of any kind.

Billy,

Around 5 bills. I switch back and forth pretty often. For day trips and possible rain, we take the tour pack, short trips - we use the back rest. Alone, I ride open. I like the pack better than a T-Bag. Probably for the look and convenience. BLKPRL.

Here's a couple of pic's of my wife's 06 Deluxe with Wild1's 508's and bags from an FLSTS. She wanted the bigger bags in this style and it took some fabrication to get the saddlebag guards to fit with the V&H Big Shots Long, but it all worked out in the end.

What did you have to do to the bike to get them to fit? I'd like to have the larger bags as well and am planning to get the same pipes.
