RE: starter clunck while turning over
That clunck could be the starter clutch releasing then re-engaging again. If your cranking fuel is off or your timing is too far advanced, you could be getting a kickback or partial combustion causing the starter clutch to either slip due to detonation or disengage, re-engage during apartial combustion power stroke. I had to experiment with timing and fuel in the 0-500 RPM cranking range. Don't know what you have for a tuner and tuning capabilitiesthough. If this continues too long your starter clutch will startslipping, I went thru a couple of these clutch assemblies before I finally resolved the problem. For a while I wasstarting to think it was a defectiveCrank Sensor not being able to pick up astrong enough of a signal during cranking RPMonly but itscoped out OK.
